So the COVID vaccine essentially killed my burns. After the first shot it deadened my ability to feel any effects considerably for about a week and a half, then things started to go back to normal. After the second shot though, all effects were killed completely for about the same amount of time. It's very similar to how the effects are deadened when you get sick, which actually makes a lot of sense. Things are starting to get back to normal now, but I just wanted to give you all a heads up so you can prepare for a few possibly rough days. Anyone else get the shots and experience this? \m/

I can honestly say this did not happen to me with either the first or second vaccine.

I also had Covid at the very beginning of October, lost my sense of taste and smell for 5ish days, continued to burn the whole time and still didn’t notice a diminishment in effects. Admittedly I was burning a bit less than usual, cause you know, ya feel like poo for about 9 days.



I really, really hope this doesn’t ultimately deter anybody from getting the vaccine.

I didn't find the vaccine to affect kratom at all, but the second shot of the moderna knocked me on my ass for about a day. I didn't even care about kratom because I was sleeping so hard. It dramatically improved the next day though. I encourage everyone to get the vaccine! It's worth the temporary inconvenience.

No doubt, the short inconvenience was well worth the peace of mind afterwards. I can't express enough how good it feels to be able to walk into a store, or have a conversation with someone and not have to watch every damn thing I do, from what I touch, to how close or far away I am from everyone. Plus it looks like this might be a rather isolated thing with my body and how it reacted to the vaccine.

I haven't gotten nor do I plan on getting the vaccine.

Us, by rhe way, includes EVERY single person on this board, regardless of political affiliation, therefore I would consider this NON political. I was just wondering when our worst enemy became our bedfellow because I missed it.

Well problem is, critical thinking is out the window these days. Its easy to turn on TV media and submerge yourself into subtle hypnosis while they use fear. There is no IMMUNITY for it. . .

I get sick like it's a hobby and have found kratom to help me. Hopefully it is the same when I'm eligible for the vaccine, sometime in 2030.

I actually didn't get sick from the second shot, but the effects from kratom were deadened like I was. I read over on the AKA forum that a lot of people are getting considerable relief from the more extreme vaccine side effects with kratom, so yeah, I think it could help a lot.

Neither kratom or hydrocodone felt the same to me when I had Covid and for about 6-7 weeks after. Just getting back to normal.

For those saying "I'm healthy, why would I get it"...you may get it and be fine, but you'll potentially spread to someone less fortunate, possibly a friend or family member...so it's more about not being selfish.

It sounds like a couple states have opened it up to anyone 16+ already, and Biden flat out said (during a recent speech) that he has directed all states to as of May 1st. And on the bright side, by then it'll be everywhere, no need for an appointment or anything, just stop by a Rite Aid or Costco or whatever and maybe wait 15-20 mins for it. I plan to then go grocery shopping afterwards, 2 errands with one trip.

I agree with you. I will not get the experimental vaccine either. I already had Covid so have the antibodies. We’re supposed to believe they are trying to help us and save lives with a vaccine? Haha yeah ok. Then get rid of cigarettes and alcohol and all the other crap that’s responsible for killing us. I’ll pass on the vaccine. But if getting it makes you feel safer then by all means go ahead and get it. You’re free to choose what you want to do. At least for now.

It's almost like in order to fly to different countries they will make you need ID or something or they will not let you in! That is just not fair! Oooooh wait... Also next thing you know you'll have to carry some sort of ID when you drive cars, Ohhhh wait. Then they will try to make it so when you go to hospital or doctor's they will keep track of what and why you came,on top of that they will keep records of any medical condition's you might have and even keep track of the medications you're taking! Will not take covid vaccine under any circumstances.
It hasn't gone trough proper testing for LONG TERM side effects normal vaccine takes up to 10 years be tested, this one took months before it was released to general public.
The companies can not be legally held responsible if something happens to you as a result of the vaccine.
There's tons of written information and videos explaining why this particular vaccine is dangerous.

The key-word here is "Ivermectin", it gets rid of covid in 24 hours - its safe to use, was developed in 1970's fully tested trough-out I personally use it - if I ever start to feel cold coming in or a runny nose, I take it and within 5 minutes the symptoms disappear.
Of course your doctor will never prescribe it to you but I use the version in tube (made for horses) sold on amazon or ebay and it works just the same as the one for humans because it has 100% pure ingredient which is Ivermectin, gets rid of fleas parasite and covid alike, they give this stuff to million dollar horses and it has FDA approval stamp right on the package.

How are you feeling ? Have you gotten back to normal? Which shot did you get? I’m getting my second one soon and I’m bracing, and was figuring the Kratom would help :-/ though many of my family just got the second shot and weren’t sick at all just a bit tired that day. Either way I’ll gladly get it for the benefit of the country.

Yes I'm back to normal, it took about a week and a half or so. I got the Pfizer vaccine. I didn't get sick from the second shot though I was a little run down, but it certainly affected my burns as if a was sick. I really appreciate that you're capable of thinking about others rather than just yourself, that was my driving incentive as well. But everyone certainly has the right to not get the vaccine regardless of their reasons, and I respect that as well, even if I don't agree. \m/

Glad you're back to 100%! They're information out there about how covid affects people longterm, and there is some anecdotal evidence that the vaccine is helping people with some of this longterm symptoms in case you have anything else. Some people have had some stuff pop up months, even 6 months after having covid - like lack of energy, brain fog, etc. If you want I can try to find the article I was reading earlier, but it was from a reputable source. I can't remember if you said you had gotten the vaccine, or were/were not planning to, but just in case you have any symptoms in the future keep in mind it could be from covid. Hoping that's not the case for you of course, but I'd rather be prepared.

I think I'm going to get the vaccine, my son says we're going to be vaccinated soon if he has to drag me kicking and screaming, but I'm not exactly happy about it. I have some worries.

So far I haven't had any strange things pop up but if I never have to experience that incredible fatigue I had again, I'll be happy. That was awful!

I've worked in the medical field for years, and I'd like to think I'm a pretty empathetic person that puts the wellness of others ahead of my own (to a certain extent of course).

I'm getting the second Pfizer in two weeks. WOW, now that I think of it, I've been rotating through any strain I have, because I am getting nothing. It just hit me that I got my first shot about 10 days ago. Weird part is I don't remember it killing my burns right after I got the first shot it was like days 5-10. Glad you posted that!

I go back and forth with how I feel. I definitely respect people have rights to his or her own beliefs. I also keep in mind in this day of misinformation, I do understand that it is so difficult for people to get trusted, scientifically backed information or even believe it when they actually get a good source. There is a ton of information of the years of preparation leading up to this vaccine, starting 30 years back. I've heard the stores about different vaccines having crazy life altering effects (though at extremely low rates, 1/1000000, and I can put myself in others' shoes to understand why they would choose avoid it. Especially for covid though, I notice people focus on the "low" death rate, which yes has been quoted ~1-2%. That is a massive number though considering this virus's transmissibility and rate of asymptomatic carry. In the US alone that's 500k people who have died so far.

While I may not fear dying from covid, I fear getting it, carrying it, spreading it to 10 people, who spread it to 10, and then how many people die because of that. Even if it is one person, I would feel horrible. Herd immunity is also the only way we return to some kind of normal. The quickest way to that is through vaccinations right now. For everyone that talked about the negative affects of the closures and shutting cities down (economy, mental health, etc.) , this is what can be done to fix a lot of that.

Again, like I said, I respect and understand everyone's rights. I just hope everyone, looks at multiple reputable sources, looks at the entire picture, and then makes his or her choice. I avoid politically motivated information sources. I'm just saddened by the lack of faith in the scientific community that we once had.

Edit: Now that I think about it, it may have started right after my first shot, but I remember really noticing a couple days after. Yeah sounds like you're going through what I did. The second shot was by far the most significant regarding how it affected my burns. Yeah there was no withdrawal at all, just couldn't feel anything for a while. It won't last too long if you do go through it, just hang in there, sunny days are just around the corner.

<3 I’m loving this community more and more each day I log in. I’m good I remain grateful for the plant and what’s its helped me gain. A few weeks of not feeling it won’t get me off tract.

I had made a comment to my partner worried about feeling like crap , and told him if I did I would take some of the pain medication I used to be prescribed for 10 years that I luckily no longer need and still have some, but I’m not. I’m sticking down this path. I’m wondering if after second shot might be a good time for a tolerance break/reset unless it makes me feel worse but. I don’t have any experience with stem and vein or Hirusuta (spelling?) or so blue lotus? Idk just a thought.

Though some folks might face temporary (or at least I HOPE temporary!) issues with kratom efficacy after their shots, I'm still really glad to hear y'all are, for the most part, getting them. I've run into way too many people who believe the vaccine is an excuse for the government to 'chip' us... and while I would never advise someone to trust the government blindly, that is just such an absurd take, lol. Watching the way people have responded to the covid threat in the USA has been frustrating because I myself almost certainly would not survive if I caught it, yet I've had people tell me to my face that they don't care if sick people die because we're ''weak'', and older people dying doesn't matter either because they're ''going to die anyway''... and I'm far from the only person who's had encounters like these. I've seen so much heartlessness, it's so sad. I don't think it's a particularly hot take to say we should all be caring about each other.

I've been trying to make appointments for myself and my father in CT, as we both have autoimmune issues, but CT's handling of the vaccine has been less than stellar. Their rollout was entirely age-based (and essential workers), nothing for comorbidities or high risk groups, and then suddenly yesterday they decided EVERYONE is eligible even though there are no appointments available anywhere for months... LOL. But I'll gladly take a few weeks of potentially less effective kratom doses if it means I don't have to worry about, y'know, dying. Or passing it on to someone else who might also suffer.

Received my second dose of Pfizer on Wednesday. The first one gave me a very sore arm for two days and I felt nauseous for 24 hours. The second one - same sore arm. I had a Dr. appointment today and I was very worried because I was nauseous AND extremely light-headed (a weird symptom I get lately when ill). Also a sore throat and just feel... shitty.

And all of these symptoms could absolutely be something else unrelated!!.

Mr. Grey slept for 36 hours after his second Moderna. We are both just very happy to have gotten the vaccine (and this early). I consider it our civic duty as well as the best thing we could have done for ourselves (given how dire the situation is). ALSO, now I can make an appt. to go see my mother even though I found out she was fully vaccinated a month ago, could receive visitors but did not tell me.. Just goes to show that someone can hurt you to the depths of your soul but you still keep loving them.

For those of you convinced that the world is out to get you...... when has it ever NOT BEEN? We live in a world that isn't comfortable, isn't fair and has never been easy. Pick your poison. OK, so the rest of us keel over from our vaccines. Congrats! The world belongs to you now. Best of luck when you can't find any health care professional to treat you. Just after my post yesterday I went off to my weekly therapy appointment, where I was told that they had vaccines available for their patients at that clinic and I was offered my first dose right on the spot!

I had the choice between Johnson&Johnson and Moderna; went with Moderna. I've felt 100% fine since it happened. Well, fine is relative, as I still have all my other ailments to contend with, lol - but nothing new, no flu-like symptoms or anything. If I smack my arm at the injection site it's a little tender but that's true for me with every shot or vaccine I've ever gotten.
