I f@%king hate reddit. I swear its giving my stomach ulcers from all the negativity and clickbait b.s. Anyone have some suggestions for alternatives? I tried googling but didn't really come up with anything promising. I appreciate you.

Although I haven’t tried it yet, I’ve been hearing a lot of people talking about MeWe

The
MeWe format is more like Facebook... "Private Groups" where the focus is 1 big rolling Chat. Lots of jokes and animated gif's
NO
Topics on MeWe and you can't FIND anything... Search is nearly useless. Reddit is indexed, Search on any subject and find Topic links.

All groups aren't equal, and none of the ones I'm in now have gifs/memes as a main component in the chat. I used to be in some groups like that, but I left because I really can't stand that either. In general I wouldn't say mewe is comparable to Reddit, it's a totally different format. There are pros and cons in both.
There is a forum/facebook aspect in mewe, it's just that hardly anyone uses it, instead favoring the chatrooms.
Don't forget about Reddup.

Good question. Yeah sadly, I think its like Ebay - A
Principle of Ecommerce is, the 1st to establish a particular "site format", can hold that position as Leader because... that's where the people are. That's where the Buyers are. Many Sellers absolutely HATE Ebay now, but you can't sell where nobody is looking. Same with Reddit, they established that, 100K people on r/kratom. More than 20X as many people as "other" kratom sites.
Same with Facebook really. Many people hate Facebook now, BUT... that's where all your friends and family ARE.

Haha I know it still exists, I don't think there's many people using it any more.
The other day I did a search to see if there were any Irc channel for kratom, there was one with 4ppl in it.

I agree! Reddit has changed drastically within the past few years. It was always my social media of choice, but it seems like every week there are new rules, petty fights, and general negativity. I don't have a suitable alternative other than discord, but that's more of a niche community type of thing.

Reddit's Entitled Parents is a riot that makes me crap my pants, but if you're looking for the same great content without the ulcers, check out this content reader, R/Slash on youtube. Just put R/slash into the search via Youtube. I highly recommend Entitled Parents, Choosing Beggars, TIFU, and more.
