Is anyone out there worried about the mail service being shut down in the near future from this virus?

I don't think it likely at all. The USPS keeps going during natural disasters, even when Trump shut the government down. As of January, packages from Wuhan China were still being accepted.

I never have to touch my delivery person (thank goodness ) but going to the post office skeeves me out sometimes. What is it about lonely old white dudes who want to make conversation with me in line? I don't know you, man

Naw, the good ole' 'Socialist' Post Office and U.S. Mail always gets delivered. True confession I have some family relatives who work for USPS, so any Inside Info you'll here it right here... welcome to MM, greeneyedgurl

I was doing some research on this today, and Italy, who is in full shut down mode (while we are not) is still delivering mail and the post office is operating like normal.

Not sure about China, but China is welding apartment building doors shut and we certainly aren't going to reach that level. We'll be fine.
