We all know of people doing this on purpose, but this article says we say the truth backwards even unintentionally.

This also has info about Beatles doing these easter egg things, JFK's assassination, CIA's interest and more. Totally interesting.

In college, I had a musician friend who could say long statements backwards, was pretty trippy.

As far as backmasking?

I actually tried backmasking (or un/remasking?)on a song one time. (Different parameters made it reversing backmasking?)

The song Milky Way by.....I forget, the 80s one, (the Church maybe?) I flipped it backwards and wrote down the words and played it backwards.

^ this could not have been purposeful, what sense does THAT make? It does sound kinda cool though, in the sense of meter and sound though. Right?


That's all I can remember, but flip the song, you'll hear those lines. I just did it for fun and some cool lines popped out. It's all subjective anyway. What I hear and what you hear could be completely different. Backmasking is more of an ATTEMPT.

I don't think it counts if.your singing a song and backwards it says "Satan is cool, his whang is golden..." you can't be spiritually held responsible. That's bullshit. You know, if that's your thing. Even if not isn't though they still play with it. Like Freddie Merc proclaiming that he "loves to smoke marijuana" in that we will rock you song. I've flipped it. He says that. BACKWARDS. Maybe it's just chance. Maybe it's on purpose. A persons intent is everything.

The number of youtubers and youtube is just staggering. There's something out there on nearly every subject. I can't imagine anyone having time to sample everything. But we have used them to repair a clothes dryer DIY - fantastic. I used about two dozen when I designed our bed and we built it from scratch. You have to wade through some crap but just the DYI videos alone are a miracle - for people who can't spend much money, anyway.
Right now I'm sifting through them because we're needing to buy a new car and want to keep the damage minimal. We want to pay cash but I keep hearing that's a bad move. Better to lead them to believe you're going to finance, seal the deal, then wait 30 days and write them a check - as long as they don't have a too-soon payment penalty.

I might have mentioned above, but the clearest example of backmasking on purpose i've heard is on the Eminem 'My Name Is.' If you play it backward, it says very distinctly, 'My name is Eminem.'

The Why Files on faking the moon landing gave some background, then pulled up all these facts and quotes from supposed experts and got me going, smidgen of doubt, then they provide more info, and i'm like almost believing, then they're like 'nah, we got you' and revealed their lies and the truth, so yes, we did land on the moon.

When you hear stuff backwards, it slips by the normal brain filters and just goes into your subconscious, as done when at a concert. It won't make you a satanist, but it can influence you.

Crystal, my mom's cat has creaky old bones and is deaf and doesn't really like me. She likes the pets and scratches, but refuses to purr or get cuddly.

She does purr loudly for my mom's pets and scratches, and lies on her leg or on her lap.

I miss my kitties Max and Levi, and my bebs Mei, so much.

As t least we got to have them in our lives. Same as people. I could never justify death of pets or loved ones in my mind. It has always seemed cruel and awful. Instead of going with " it happens to everyone, they are in a better place, etc " I always went with that.

At least I got to know them as they were, good and bad.

When it comes to cats, that's a hell of a lot to be thankful for.

I got lucky with Max - he was my mom's cat but gravitated to me when my sis got married and her cat, Levi, became mom's. So for a long period after I moved in with mom and dad again; my Mei Mei dog would sleep on my bed. After Max stopped peeing in my room, he was allowed to sleep with us. Levi was not allowed in my room cause he always peed on stuff. We moved several times.

After we did our first move, neither cat peed on stuff anymore, and they could sleep wherever. After some more moves, we put Max down, and Mei about a week later. Then we made a final move and old Levi was deaf but still spunky.

My mom decided to visit my sis in Colorado to give her some help with my nephew cause sis was not 100%. So for three months Levi was stuck with me and my dad. He already loved us, of course, but now we got cuddles from him. When my dad napped, Levi would just sit on him in weird positions, and at night, he'd get scratches and pets in exchange for purring. He was so happy when mom came home, though, and so was I. He was eventually put down with love.

That's Levi's tail, I dunno if I have any more.

Funny, 'chunky' describes Crystal's tail, it's short and stubby, either a mutation or maybe got run over.
