Same boat, 10 k people in a plant. Got to go in today, unless something changes i ll let ya'll know. But i am not worried, i been coughed and sneezed on at the job past few weeks, going strong with kratom and some vitamin C before work.

I heard the same as you about travel thing but to stressed to look for source (I need a break from reality ;) )

Sorry you have to deal with that inhaler situation. Very scary stuff. This was something I went through with my father's medication last week which I mentioned on this thread a few times. Finally got his refill this past Monday.

But I am starting to take less of certain medications. I've also noticed a lot of supplements I buy from online are being sold out and harder to get. This is not going to get better- it will get worse first. And how we handle things when they get bad will determine how things unfold. We are heading into "this is something from a movie" reality. Wonder how people here in America are gonna this

I just got my prescription for my albuterol inhaler refilled because I was worried about this very thing - that they would become scarce in the coming weeks. Your post makes me think I'd better spring for a refill on my flovent prescription, too. I'd been kind of hoping that I was being paranoid. Sigh. There goes an arm and a leg.

Thank you for the comment, Ballz.

We need the voice of experience and reason now, and you're it. You are a trusted and admired member of MM and I am grateful that you are here to remind us that we DO need to try and remain calm, try to live in the moment (instead of some scary dystopian future), and remember that this country has seen challenges just as daunting. It's good that the country is preparing for the worst (maybe we have learned our lesson), but preparation is not prophecy (and also I think that we have all been watching too many "End of the World" movies and TV shows  )

So thanks, friend ;)

Interesting about our temperatures running lower! I hadn’t thought that my usual 97.8 was related to my kratom use.

Like herbalhippie, I’m usually a stickler for keeping tolerance low. Only a week ago, I was slowing reducing my amount and logging everything taken, how much, which vendor, which strain, the time, what I ate and when. Had a log and it was seriously helpful for keeping myself accountable and being real with myself (sometimes I tell myself it’s not much, but it adds up).

Then the last 2 days came along and I went a little nuts. Having headaches and anxiety, but likely just related to the stress of all of this and the noise of a generator running all day outside of my window to repair the fence that came down in the crazy wind weather we had only a few weeks ago.

I did take a walk in the sunshine and it helps. I’ve been eating the wrong foods while they last..

Thanks for sharing your situations and experiences and thoughts. I hope y’all do not need to return to those large facilities!

I’ll be working on weaning my use of kratom starting tomorrow and wanted to encourage everyone that I agree with y’all here about using akuamma (!!!) incarvillea sinensis (typically 20x strength), corydalis, and more herbs are very useful in the place of our kratom. Let’s not forget Hirsuta and Javanica as well as stem n vein. I’m a natural hoarder and always stock up in bits during sales throughout the year to acquire these alternative products without a sudden huge spending issue. I’m only working 30 hours per MONTH online and my pet sitting service was booked through 2020 and now everything is cancelled except one hopeful potential traveler hoping to take a trip to Africa for a month in June.

I am really thinking of all of y’all and your families and the kiddos! I am new to this particular forum and appreciate being welcomed to contribute during a time of stress like we’ve never known.

People here are doing Christmas decorating to keep the kids feeling a bit better and including them for the boredom issue - home schooling is helping along with some ball tossing, badminton and lots of people are walking dogs in their jammies, so that’s fun!

Some of us older folks are Spring Cleaning our ZAP stash of kratom (zombie apocalypse products we didn’t necessarily respond well to, but sometimes they are AWESOME months later) and maybe USING or TESTING that stuff because this qualifies as a zombie apocalypse!

The neighbor’s cat who lives on our porch has been missing for 3 days and nights and I’ve been frantic about that, but he showed up as if he had never been gone, this morning. I’m guessing he took a spa retreat to keep calm, lol. So glad he’s ok.

That was proof of unnecessary worrying I can cut down on. Big hugs to you and everyone within your isolation space.

Thanks for letting me share with this fine community.
Thanks for being a part of today's solution!

This hoarding situation is just awful. We didn't do any panic shopping so we basically have to make do with whatever we can find remaining in the stores.

Is ANY ONE out there able to buy toilet paper yet? I mean, I'll go buy newspaper before I lose my mind over this, but - really - I'm not very impressed with my fellow Americans right now.

Our stores have been sold out of tp for days. I talked to one of the Walmart workers and she pretty much told me the employees are getting first dibs on it and hand sanitizer. I think they are finally putting a limit on what people can take.

Bidet. Sink sprayer. Condiment bottle, like what the chefs use to make little dots of sauce on fancy plates. That's what I used for a 'bidet' after delivering my babbies.

My daughter ordered a bidet off Amazon and then was informed they wouldn't be in stock for weeks so she went and got a sink sprayer and a stick on hook to hook it to the side of the toilet.

I've made 'midnight' runs to the store that last two nights, they sure are picked over. I did better last night than tonight. And we are a smallish city miles away from the major highways. I can't imagine what the stores in the big cities are like. Yikes.

Ok... so I bought a hand held bidet on Amazon that was pretty well reviewed, but the water that hits my bum is soooo coooold! How do you do it? Also, I get so much water backsplash on to the seat, I end up using as much TP as if I hadn't had a bidet in the first place :P . Any advice?

So, is that like a squeezable bottle? Maybe fill it with warm water and a pinch of gentle soap? Squirt at the "puckered place" then dab with a small towel? If so, that sounds very interesting :D

Hey ojo!

Wow, Idk how those things even work. Maybe just grit your teeth and keep a personalized hand-towel nearby.

I have heard a lot of people say "Well, that's what the shower if for, stupid." No, I am not going to take a shower every time I use the toilet,

And now that I think of it - to hell with the newspaper; we've got about 5 years worth of unused telephone books lying around somewhere. Mmmmm, Yellow Pages

My wife still has the condiment looking bottle that she had to use after our baby was born. It was a life saver for her those first 6 weeks.

I have not, and I've been looking for days now... What I will say next is true, sadly, but tomorrow I am actually making a "trade" for a 4 pack of toilet paper. Fun times  I have a co-worker (we've just now been furloughed, just got the email) who I will be giving some kratom to in exchange for a 4 pack of toilet paper.

Can't believe of all things the toilet paper is hardest to find! And now I've seen reports of pipes becoming clogged cause people are using shirts and other things that should not be flushed! Welcome to the new reality

Worse news is even if 5% of people get the virus need hospital care, that will totally cripple and overwhelm the healthcare system, which will in turn have ripple effects across other sectors and systems of our lives. Hospitals are already running low on supplies.

The shelter in place will be, um, interesting to see how it plays out. Sadly, too many people do not and will not pay attention until they are personally impacted, and more so than just staying home

I mentioned up thread that gun sales have sky-rocketed. Chinese citizens went to their fates (god help them, whatever that was) willingly. I don't think pissed off, desperate white dudes with guns will be so compliant. Because once that kind of mess starts, we might see large-scale civil 'unrest' in the streets and then NO ONE will want to go outside :(

I read an article yesterday, which I can't find today, that suggested contacting restaurant supply companies for toilet paper. That's what the author of the article did. According to the author, restaurant supply companies sell toilet paper in bulk to restaurants but with restaurants closed, they have quite a bit of stock sitting around. You may have to buy it in lots of 48 rolls but it may be worth it just for peace of mind. Plus, it's something you'll use eventually.

I've had one of those for a couple of years now. I've not used it recently but if I can't find any toilet paper when I run out, it's back to the old "travel bidet" (as mine is called).

I filled it with warm water and one of the personal cleansers made for people who are bed-ridden. It takes a bit of practice to learn how to direct the water to avoid getting any on the seat, although that problem won't go away entirely. At the time I bought it, I also bought a bag of 12 inexpensive washcloths and used those to dry off. They can be washed in hot water and bleach. It's definitely not as easy as using toilet paper but it actually does a better job.

I don't know about other areas but Sysco in the Eastern WA area is limiting companies to ONE box per order because people were trying to order 20 boxes for their friends and families. I don't know about places like URM Cash & Carry or Smart Foodservice, I haven't been over there for a while but I know in my town the word got out over a week ago that they had hard to find supplies. I was over there looking for disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer and nope.

Thanks brave; this is really interesting. I had it playing while I was doing other stuff and I heard Ole Dummegard (the soft-spoken, fair haired gentleman) say something that I have realized for a long time "We signed up for this, somehow on a spiritual level before we came down here and now we start complaining...."

I'm going to look for more of this guy's work.

So this morning I read that the governor of California is claiming that more than half (56%) of the state will be infected within 2 months. I don't know where he is getting his numbers. Do his predictions have anything to do with Cali's large homeless population? Undocumented immigrants?

If so, this plague is only showing us what a merciless and uncaring society we have created for ourselves.

And, I'm guessing you all have already heard about the two republican senators who, while assuring the public that everything is going to be fine, dumped millions in stocks - acquiring a very sweet profit. These greedy 'public servants' absolutely CONSPIRED with the government and hoodwinked the media to deceive us for THREE months so that they would have time to unload unprofitable shares; One of them then turned around and bought shares in tele-technology - the one industry that is essential to keeping this world afloat right now and in the nearest future. This is not only vicious insider trading, it is treason. How many hundreds of thousand people will die because we were told "everything is fine?"

Sorry, I'm in a "mood." But I'd rather feel like this right now than feeling terrified and helpless.

I don't know who leaked the info about the senators' insider trading, but WE NEED more whistleblowers like this :x

Just something else to piss me off tonight. Earlier I was reading about the Chinese government's cover-up of the early virus outbreak.

I am listening to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzN5mgdbVOo

Not sure how much you know about this channel but for me its way more interesting then shooting action movies they show these day. That's why i haven't been at the movies in a very long time. there is nothing to learn there.

He basically asks him questions that are all concerning to us and talks about coronavirus as well. Interesting none the less, he does mention civil up-rise will happen, and some states are mentioned. Aslo talks about different groups around the world, like Darpa and Elon Musk and many others.. I think this will be a very interesting watch for everyone, its still live but about to end soon,.

So sorry HH :( Didn't mean to trigger. I hope some brave souls can tell us what happened in China, because dictatorships are a scourge worse than any disease. I was being self-indulgent with my comment - sometimes I just feel less victimized if I can channel my terror into righteous anger, and I do believe that our anger is justified and - later - will be absolutely validated by history.

Heartfelt NewsEvolution: "5G-CoronaVirus" - The Takedown
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6LRIkl777Q

they also talk about C60, which is 172 times more powerful anti-oxidant than Vitamin C - Anti-5G-"CoronaVirus/COVID-19" Syndrome

which is under the video in description. He got banned from facebook a month ago. So would always be nice to get one bottle of C60 just in case for those who are very worried they might get affect by 5G or weakening immune system by viruses.

Laid off I guess. Going back when this is safely over. If I haven't hit retirement age by then.

Unemployment will just cover my part of the rent and car/renter's insurance. Son can pick up the internet bill for a while. We have plenty of food and toilet paper. And kratom! So I'm good.

I know a lot of other people aren't going to be good.

edit: this is probably for the best because I'm high risk and I will work myself into the GROUND given half the chance. Danger or no danger.

Yeah I'm right there with you HH. I have been furloughed as of Thursday evening.

I can file for unemployment but it only provide about 50% of what I made, and I believe it is going off of my last two pay periods. Since I am a server it will be based off of my declared tips. Luckily, I declare most of my tips (80-90% about). So if I declared 600$ in tips, I'll get around 300$ a week or so. Better than nothing but not near enough if they expect people to still pay all their bills. And, like you said, it will be a lot worse for so many people. Just other bussers and servers and bartenders at my job, many did not declare all of their tips (for variety of reasons). So a server who declared 1/2 of what they made in tips, will then only be getting back about a 1/4 of what they normally would weekly.

And have you read the bill that is being proposed? The bail out bill to give every adult check/cash, up to $1200 a person? It is so FILLED with LOOPHOLES!! I've seen experts have no idea exactly who will be covered or denied. And it may be based off your 2018 taxes you filed. A LOT, and I mean A LOT of ways people could be denied or given $600 only if this current bill being proposed is passed. This would not be good! I'll find link breaking down current proposed bill if anyone wants to read (and cry or scream with rage)

Even if they gave everyone $1200, will this be a one time payment? Because that would be like putting a band-aid over someone shot in the arm while ignoring the other 9 bullets in the chest and stomach and back!! :x

I have friends who pay $1200 a month for a one bedroom apartment. My ex girlfriend lives in San Francisco and her apartment is almost $3000 a month and she has been layed off as well. I believe it was the UK that just announced that people that they will give all citizens 80% of their regular income for the next 3 months AND cover all utilities (electric/water/etc) AND suspending other bills (I could have some details wrong, I read a breakdown of the bill this morning, but it would get people by). What is a $1200 one time payment going to do? Or even if it is monthly?

My take: the only way this will not lead to social breakdown and mass chaos and economic ruin, if is they suspend people's bills AND provide a basic weekly income. Most people cannot pay for food and rent with $1200 dollars or unemployment insurance, let alone the other bills like internet, water, electric, credit cards, and all the other ones.

I just had my car payment due on Thursday. I've been out of work for 9 days now I think. I did not pay that bill, as that money will be needed to cover food and medicine and mortgage. So many questions and various different areas of life where this will bring massive disruption. I seriously fear how our society will handle it. I mean, we can't even get people to stop going to the beach or cloths shopping
