Anyone here use L-arginine?
Just curious if anyone here has ever heard of (or uses) L-arginine as it was suggested to me for a certain medical issue. I had to google it and it appears to be an amino acid used for skin care and hair loss. None of which are related to my medical issue, but maybe I'm missing something here. I didn't look too far into this supplement yet past the a quick glance on google, wanted to ask here first.

Not really sure. I googled it quickly and it seems to be a hair loss / skincare type supplement. Was wondering if anyone here used it for anything in particular.
Seems I spelled it wrong too. It's L-arginine (not L-argenine). Gonna fix the title.

It would be bad to take if you have herpes outbreaks of any kind (oral, genital or shingles) because it feeds the virus and people are told to take L-Lysine to combat the L-Arginine.

Thankfully I don't have herpes lol. Do you know what it's specifically used for though? I found some more info that it might be good for blood circulation by opening blood vessels (if I was reading the info correctly).

Not an expert but I do know that L-arginine plays a very important role in the production of Nitric Oxide which opens up blood vessels (vasodilation). Always check for potential side-effects

Yes! I take it every day. I was told it's important for heart health, which is a big deal to me, since I take stimulant ADHD meds.e_poison wrote: ↑Sun Nov 28, 2021 11:54 pm Just curious if anyone here has ever heard of (or uses) L-arginine as it was suggested to me for a certain medical issue.
