Howdy -- And Delta 8 Sleep Effects
Hi there -- I've lurked around for quite a while and haven't mustered up courage to jump into the actual discussion, but here to break that streak.
Along the Delta 8 discussions I see going -- how do you find it affects your sleep? When I take it at night, I do get sleepy and drift into sleep via some pretty cool dreams. But never fail, around 3AM I'll be wide awake, energetic, and have a hard time getting back asleep.
Is this pretty common? I thought it was known for its sedating properties and used by some as a sleep aid. I have not used any Delta 9 products. How does the Delta 8 compare to the 9 in the sleep disturbance department?

You might need a mix of Delta8 and CBN. CBN is really sedating to most people. Also most find straight Delta8 very energizing and uplifting. I’m sure with a little research and experimentation you will find something that helps you. If your looking for pain relief or a sleep aid try the Comfortably Numb items from the 3chi website. I can personally recommend them. At least the vape cartridges. It really helped with my pain.

I'm a fan of both Delta8 and CBN. I think getting a tincture of Delta 8 to mix in your nighttime Kratom, then perhaps vaping CBN as needed would help. I'm trying it this week myself. I have a new mmj card so I'm figuring out how to use them all on an alternating basis. I use kratom only during the week. Check out the Great CBD shop. Harbor City and Snapdragon Hemp have good products for both.

Congrats on getting your card. Would you mind telling what state your in and how Delta8 prices compare to Delta9 at the dispensary ? I’ve seen on Reddit where many people who have the choice of either stick with D8 because it’s so inexpensive.

I'm in Virginia. Delta 8 is less expensive than Delta 9 overall but it's not as strong or as psychoactive. It depends on what you're looking for. I think it goes better with kratom.

Are you using it orally or vaping it?Truth Quest wrote: ↑Fri May 28, 2021 11:05 am Hi there -- I've lurked around for quite a while and haven't mustered up courage to jump into the actual discussion, but here to break that streak.

I think maybe the effects of it are wearing off if you are vaping it, and that is causing you to wake up. That happens sometimes with psychoactive substances of all kinds and I don't think is a result of any kind of THC.
I personally do not have this issue, nor do most people I have talked to. I have over 1000g of D8 btw so I am pretty invested in this stuff lol.
THC in general has some paradoxical stimulating/sedating properties but I don't think that's what you're experiencing here. D8 definitely is more on the sedating side though.
IF YOU ARE TAKIKNG IT ORALLY, idk. It puts me right to sleep orally. I think d8 and d9 are both more sedating this way due to the metabolization of 11-hydroxy-delta8/9-THC and friends which give you the real sleepy side of THC.
