Kanna and others

Post by Cuttlefish »

Hello all!

Recently stumbled upon reading about kanna online, and finally sprung for it. I got 1 gram of an extract from lift mode. Wondering if anyone has any experience with it, and if they can describe what it’s effects are like. I’ve heard doing bumps with low doses of alcohol is enjoyable.

I’ve also stumbled upon people talking about myrrh, and mulungu (sp?) and wondered about those too. I’m currently on a month break from phenibut so I was looking for something else for my weekly recreation substance.

If you are into nootropics, I would recommend rhodiola rosea, depends on which kind you get as to its benefits, I've enjoyed the stimulation from it in the mornings with caffeine? :geek:

I’ve considered that too. It was a little farther down on the list, others seemed to have a more overt effect. How would you describe its effects? And what do you mean by types?

There's 2 active alkoloids 1 is Rosavins and the other is salidroside, I can't remember the different ratios but you can study those 2 and see which percentages fit your needs.

I wanted to try Kanna but there is a contraindication with SSRi's (i take prozac) so sadly, didn't want to take the chance.

Yeah, I tried it. I got the lift mode extract. It’s okay, but not as great as I hoped. The first time trying it I didn’t like it much, but gave it another shot while drinking and that was a lot better. The comeup can be uncomfortable, but the hours after the initial 30 minutes are where it’s good. I’m sensitive to stimulant-like drugs, I’ve never enjoyed them much without alcohol or something else in my system, so this could be a factor. I’ve been snorting tiny bumps of the extract. I tried it again sober and it makes me feel out of it, and after the initial rush I feel ok but nothing worth it to me. I’ve sprinkled some on weed too, and that can be good too. I probably will finish off what I have whenever I drink, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering it again any time soon, a major factor being the price. Someday maybe I’ll try finding a cheaper vendor and give it another go. I wouldn’t really compare it to mdma or coke, there’s more of a spaced out feeling on it, although I def wouldn’t do it before bed time. A stimulating Brain dead feeling that turns into a slight mood lift.

Sometimes Myrrh is referenced when Frankincense is what's meant.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boswellia_serrata

That's more popularly known as Boswellia Serrata at places like Amazon, and it's a nice anti-inflammatory.
