I've tried out STH twice before, both several years ago, & got zero effects for all the strains I sampled in spite of the glowing reviews. I've hit the doldrums with my normal vendors, read some good reviews again for Smiley & tried them again. Here's the results:

Dragon Fire - 9-10/10.
My first 4 doses of this strain just gave me a headache & the grumpies, so I put it off to the side for a week while I sampled the others(Blue Flame, Dragon Milk, Red Smile). Nothing much pleasurable came from those either, so I went back to the Dragon Fire. This time it put me under the table - unbelievably strong & long lasting. What a pleasant surprise! Powerful euphoria, decent energy but not too much, also great pain relief! For me this strain winds down to a powerful sedation about 3-4 hours after dosing, but if you force yourself to do a project, that sedation changes into greater stamina. I can't explain that - it just happens. Definitely an all around winner! I have bad news - he's out of it. Darn. I haven't tried his Dragon Fire 2.0 so can't vouch for it.

Blue Flame - 6/10.
This one's potential hasn't appeared yet. It's a mild energetic strain with feel-good glow, but so far has really short legs. Don't take it at night 'cause you won't sleep. I have a feeling that if I persist with Blue Flame, it'll come to life. Just not yet.

Dragon Milk - 7/10
This is a milder version of Dragon Fire, much more mellow & relaxed. Pain relief is ok - decent - but won't help with big-time pain. I really like it even though it's mild. It's perfect for relieving stress.

Red Smile - 10/10
This is the strain everyone wants to find some day. Dragon Fire put me under the table, but this dumped the entire house on top. I've never had kratom this powerful before. I broke 2 ribs a week ago & if you've ever done that, there's very little you can do about the intense pain. My medical center won't give pain killers to anyone so I don't even try anymore. My doctor apologized to me 2 years ago, said he knew I needed Norco, but the federal rules were just too difficult. So I decided to try doubling my normal 2g dose of Red Smile & to be honest it scared the heck outta me. I've had dilaudid that wasn't that strong. And there was no pain anymore. That dose had very long legs, like 12 hour long legs. Fantastic pain relief, extremely relaxing, the perfect pain relieving red.

I'm really happy I tried STH again & found some great new strains to perk up my days. Good job Smiley!

Id say all 4, but premium green horn and PG pucuk were more upper mis to fast. Still all very euphoric for me.

To those asking when I got my kratom from STH, I ordered them April 5, so delivery was maybe a week later - about a month & a half ago.

Just got some Red Smile the other day. I agree with OP, absolutely solid stuff. Exactly what Im looking for in a red. Wam, fuzzy, relaxing, a good bit of euphoria and long legs. Can easily wind into some dozing off if your laying in bed or slouching in the couch. Really scratches that itch. I also got it 2 or so months ago and it's as strong and excellent as then. Nicely green, no fermented. I'd say it's my all time favorite (especially being that I'm a reds kinda guy) strain/blend I've had so far.

it's hard to take smiley recommendations because you have no idea if that person got the very last of a batch. even a few days difference could mean different batches, but there's no way to know. I still have never seen an answer to the question of why he doesn't label batches.

Honestly, I don’t see how there is another explanation aside from…. Having so many strain names and going through batches quickly may be a lot of work…

Alright well I’m a member at smiley have been for a while but have never placed an order. The main reason is I’m always seeing conflicted views on strains, and batches. Now to me I don’t want to be guessing if the batch everyone likes is still in stock or, if I they have changed stock. Now me I like buying batches that either have tested by the vendor them selves or testers plus being given the spec of the leaf. If they don’t have that then I see if they lab test so I can see the mit content because I like high potency leaf so even if it’s not my favorite this is a good way for me to avoid getting something I wouldn’t use. The most important thing to me is consistently. I like high potency fresh every time.. Basically I try to get as much information as possible on the leaf I’m getting because it can be very subjective so I want to get something I like ever time if I can. I find with some vendors it’s hard to go wrong but smileys is still in the maybe one day category for me.

From what he told me before, this is exactly the reason. A lot of strains and small batches. Batches cycle very quickly. Still, having batch dates certainly would make a big difference.

I will say his leaf is much more consistent for me these days than it used to be, but i still hope that batch dates happen.

can you specify how long ago you mean? I was getting some good stuff at the end of last year, but this year I haven't had the same luck. haven't tried in the last month though.

Yeah, this was like 2 years ago or so. His suppliers seem much more reliable.

His greens have been great for me for the last year or so.

Honestly I've given up on STH. I bought a kilo when I was new and still have 2 unopened bags because the others didn't or barely hit. I kept seeing reviews and recommendations on reddit for dragons milk, secret smile, red smile, etc.. So I bought a few of the smaller bags of those strains. I think one of the four hit for me. If STH shortens their "strain" list and adds batch numbers I'll consider another purchase, otherwise there are plenty of other bulk vendors around.

Honestly it’s hard to take any recommendations that serious imo. Kratom in 2022 is so hit and miss and everyone responds differently and factor in tolerance. I’ve taken Kratom from the same batch and had different results. Buying Kratom these days is honestly a crapshoot unfortunately - ya better hope you get lucky

Was this post from recently purchased strains? I know folks are debating here but the description of Red Smile you've provided us is very, very alluring. When I can afford me some leaf again, I will beeline to the Red Smile.

I had the most recent batch of the red smile and it didn't give the pain relief (my pain was still there) that was mentioned by the op. It was good though and it did chill me out and put a smile on my face. I didn't order more though...

was there a time that it wasn't like that? for me it's always been hit or miss. I find that recommendations are a helpful guide, but by no means a guarantee. vendor rec's are more useful than strain rec's. it can help narrow down the search, but I agree that getting a fire strain always has some degree of luck.

there have been a few, isolated incidents where it seems like everyone was talking about how good a certain strain was, and it ended up meeting the hype. very rare though.

I have a red smile that didn't hit for me, i recently tried it again and it's great anxiolytic..very relaxing and good for my insomnia with a creeper effect..as previously stated batch numbers would help..this is an older batch for sure though idk what the current batch is like i hope red smile is similar though because im thinking about getting more

I have all the strains listed in this string of posts. I have received them all in the last 3 months. They are all good. I have not had a "bad" strain from them yet and have been a member for almost a year. So far they have had great leaf and I have no complaints.

Anyone have any recent insight on some other good reds by STH? The Red glow was very good last time around when ordered about 2 months ago

I got red smile and red glow last month and they’re very good, especially the red smile. Thing is there’s no telling how long a batch lasts or which is which…

Since Dragon Breath had run out, I ordered some Dragon Breath 2. Wow! It's fantastic! It seems to be a little stronger than DB1, which is perfectly fine with me.

Now for some other input. I got some Super Green MD(JK), Super Red MD(JK), Red Bali, & Super Green Smile. I lumped them all together because I have the same comment for all. Nothing. No apparent effects from any of them. I feel compelled to say that the strains I rated highly didn't have any effects in the beginning either. It took about 2 weeks of cycling back & forth between them until I reached "the Zone." So I'm reluctant to call them duds yet, but neither can I recommend them.

Still waiting for STH to bring the fire he had 8-9 months ago

Yeah, I was just was accepted as a member by STH this week. I was so excited to get accepted because i heard such great things. But... once I was able to access the site I saw a laundry list of strains. I'm also a little hesitant to buy from a vendor that has no batch numbers and a million strains to choose from lol. Also, there's no lab testing. :\ Maybe one day..

The current strain I've been hearing about is Emerald Green or something...but as everyone says by the time I order it who knows? Word gets out and batches change. I have a lot of different STH from different times, the last bunch didn't work like I expected but I know my tolerance is higher than it used to be and I've tried a little extract here and there lately but my TFH samples are hitting! I have hit or miss with all vendors, even the most loved and raved about though.

I didn't have any luck with the emerald elephant, but that was a few months ago. a couple other ones I got back then didn't work at first, but I went back to them recently and they're working better now. the green hulk has been pretty consistent. but yeah, definitely hit or miss for the most part.

I've had really bad luck with the TFH samples. I think only 3 did much for me, and even those weren't amazing. but in the email he mentioned that the samples don't necessarily represent their normal menu; I plan to place a small order pretty soon.

I'd be curious to know which samples didn't work for you (which ones you tested) - if you have the time, a private email would be nice (or you could bury it in this thread - I doubt anyone would see it given the topic heading).

70% of their test samples were fantastic, but three were home runs (in my top five all time best kratom). But I do know that testers tested a lot of different samples, so it's always possible you didn't get any of the ones I tested.

My tfh samples were a bit hit or miss too but I feel that’s more on me than them. It was an off week for me physically & maybe I should have specified greens, reds, yellow only but instead in my email I said “bring it on” & got all whites & greens. My first green sample was amazing tho! I was over the moon w green #624…very nice, bright & happy, productive green. The next few did not work for my chemistry unfortunately …But there are very few whites I jive with and I don’t do well with “fuel” type fast greens. That being said the last sample white I tried was stellar for me, a strain that made me lose track of time & have great conversations, white #665. It felt very pleasant, a bit of euphoria, some energy without having me wired awake for hours. As it wore off my nerves were a little on edge tho & I needed a good pain strain to calm it. All in all, testing was a good experience. For me, 3 out of 12 were strains I would totally get and a few need a bit more testing from me on a fresh week.
