Yes, a Gaia Red Bali Review

Wow, I haven't written a review for a long time thanks to Reddit. I've been looking for a good solid sedating red bali for almost a year. I used to love Gaia's Red Bali, but as many discovered, quality went downhill. I was criticized over on the main sub for doing so & called a shill for RVA. How tiresome. But time proved me right. To be honest, I just haven't found a good replacement. I tried a variety of reds from all kinds of vendors & none hit the spot, so a month ago I broke down & tried Gaia again.

The original Bali from them was bright green, no stimulation, incredibly relaxing, & perfect to take before bed. Then as time went on, Gaia changed the Red Bali to a betuangie(dark brown) with the characteristic sweet chocolaty flavor. The new Red Bali is bright yellow green. I was concerned because yellows don't like me. But I'm happy to report this batch is great in a different way. It definitely is a blend. It has a significant stimulant effect, a fantastic mood lifter, and yes, that euphoria that's so popular. It's definitely not sedating. I made the mistake of taking it 1 hour before bed & I didn't sleep at all. It's perfect to start the day with. I take 1g, wait an hour, then another 1g. It gives cascading levels of feeling great over about a 2-3 hour span, followed by lots of productive energy. This is a really good strain, an exceptional strain, even though it's not what I was looking for. The search goes on. I have samples coming in from SoCal later today & hope I can find my elusive Red.

As time went on, Gaia changed the Red Bali to a bentuangie (dark brown) .... The new Red Bali is bright yellow green.
Hi there pray4, wow that's wild. Imagine what their "regular" customers are trying to figure out.. Most people still have an idea that strains are real. Some probably think that Red Bali actually does come from the island of Bali lol

Regardless of what insiders on Reddit and MeWe say, Gaia still has a nice website, and probably sells lots of kratom. We took them off the Vendor List, after many reports of poor quality, bad reviews, and the FDA recall of their product. Bigger is NOT better .. The trend is to more small batch importers, along with buying direct from Indo. Gaia is still the McDonalds of online kratom :D

I think you'll Find what you’re looking for with that Socal red Bali. Current batch is slow night time strain and very good quality.

My son still swears by Gaia's gold Bali. For nighttime sedation before bed I like socal's premium red Sunda.

Gaia had some great offerings when I first started taking kratom in 2017. Recently I dug out a red bali and gold bali from early last year and they are nice. Cool to hear their quality has picked up, but I don't think I would order from him again all things considered.

I still have some Gaia red bali and gold bali left from them, got it last year sometime (Oct / Nov?). I haven't used it in awhile but when I did it was still good. Obviously with all the chatter of lower quality and recall I've shy away from them. Now I have better choices (KOG, Mystic, etc..) so I don't really have a reason to take a risk buying from them.

I dont order from Gaia any longer because each time I would buy the kratom would be different even though I was ordering the same kind. I swear they just slap a sticker on whatever they have in stock no matter what you order.

I would give Red Banjar from botanical bunny a try if you want a single strain, not blend. If you like blended reds, try MysticIslandKratoms.com and their Mystic Vampire. Both are very good, banjar is a fermented dark red and the vampire is a light green blend.

Even with the decline in quality, some strains still shine. I have never had a bad plantation md from them but still shy away from ordering. Actually just picked up the green pinoh from acadica based off the recommendations here. I didnt want to pay for shipping with gaia.

Am currently using this strain from gaia purchased about Nov 2017 as my daily driver now.
