Happy Hippo Herbals is one of the best vendors, specifically because they actually care about teaching their customers about Kratom. They have an awesome blog section that talks about tolerance, dosage, picking strains, etc. everyone should go check them out. Their customer service is awesome too!!!

This is a genuine question: how are you able to look past their prices? I’m not sure any quality of kratom is THAT good. (At least not IMO)

What do you Call that? When a New account signs up & only to post Advertisement for a un-popular vendor w/ crazy high Prices?

Well first off, they're the highest quality i've tried by far. Second, I just buy on their sale days, Monday or Wednesdays. It's a lot cheaper that way

I joined because I was in a Reddit Kratom forum and it said I could not mention vendors on there and gave a link back to this site. So yeah, I joined just to mention this vendor here because they're that good

Welcome. I was a Happy Hippo customer for the longest time as well. Do some digging around on here and research a little more into the Kratom import business into the USA and I’ll think you’ll be surprised. As many folks on here can tell you, a lot of the vendors on here are what you would call “small batch” vendors. They import directly from Indonesia, some directly from farmers, and genuinely have some insight into how the leaf is dried and processed. Happy Hippo does NOT even import directly from Indonesia as I had this discussion with them through email when I was a customer. They purchase their Kratom from a “3rd party” here in the USA, which is also the reason they give for their prices being higher. Glad you’re enjoying the lovely leaf of Kratom in any form and price you’re acquiring it, but like I said, do some digging around here and I think you’ll find some really interesting things and eventually see some relief to your wallet

It was the best kratom I had ever had also. Though, they were the first company I ever ordered from 6-8 years ago. Now days I can find better. Not knocking Happy Hippo quality at this time. Seems all vendors get bad batches but the good vendors do not always sell it without notice or adding an extract.

Happy Hippo was one of the first vendors I ever tried as well. As others have said check out this forum in detail, you will be amazed at the quality vendors you will find. They will not only be of equal or better quality, they will be cheaper! Who doesn't like to save a little money, right?

Happy Hippo does have some really good leaf I ordered from them a few times over the years when i first started. If you enjoy happy hippo and its worth the prices to you then by all means keep them as your trusted vendor...however i do encourage you to possibly try out some other vendors that come highly recommended through double m herbals. You can find leaf of the same quality(often times much better) for a FRACTION of the cost. There is also another vendor who is extremely transparent and goes to extreme lengths compared to other vendors to educate us on kratom, the entire industry, and to source excellent kratom and consumer test it before selling it to us...that vendor is TFH, who also sells for half the price as happy hippo. Please dont think i am trying to knock you for liking happy hippo like i said i have gotten some very good leaf from them before just saying that if in the case that you would possibly want to get high quality leaf for much less we can help.

I too am a former Happy Hippo customer. They do have great customer service and some pretty good Kratom . But $360 an oz! I went through them for a year and I just thought that's how much Kratom cost. I know that sounds stupid . But , I had a lot of things going on and I didn't have time to search around the internet for other vendors. It just never occurred to me that other vendors might have different prices. I will say that because of the high prices I quit for awhile because I could not justify spending that much on Kratom . And quitting was not necessarily a good thing for me - I make much healthier and sane decisions when Kratom is a regular part of my life. I am not going to say that Happy Hippo is directly responsible for me ending up in jail , but .. Just kidding, I take full responsibility .

Hi. I for one do find Happy Hippo fantatic, but ONLY sale days. Luckily, they run sales three times a week, which is good, and I would never advise that folks pay full price, not is HH a place to order kilos from. During a sale, the 4oz bag is an excellent , provided it meets the profile of what you are looking for. I get their newsletter. Some days they have BOGO sales and others where a couple, or few strains are knocked down in price. Currently, that includes "Snuggle Hippo" which is among some of the most euphoric kratom I've ever had. The upside is, I have never gotten a poor or weak batch. You can shop affordably and stick to the sales. I would get some, but my finances have kicked my ass to the point I cannot order any kratom this month. But before Covid when I might have a chance to treat myself, I would order one of my favorites when on sale (and I have a lot of favorites) and I didn't need to take as much of it to enjoy the full benefits.

I normally go for strict pain relief, but that Snuggle hippo is like being wrapped up in a sleeping back all toasty and made by God. My spiritual beliefs are a little fruity, but I stand firm with the plant God Hippo sleeping bag Snuggle stuff.

Did you mean 360 a kilo, rather than 360 an ounce? The sale price (which in my mind, is the only price worth looking at) is 7-8$ an ounce, 30$ for a 4 ounce bag and yes, ordering a kilo from them is out of the question.

When I first began to enjoy kratom, I found my way to numerous vendors, Hippo being only one of them. I shopped Herbal Salvation, MmmmSpeciosa, Portal, SoCal, Hippo (when on sale) and a bunch of amazing vendors that no longer exist. But it is a saturated market and it is a shame you got the impression $360 a kilo was a normal thing. It isn't.

Their kilos are 290, and on sale, 260. That is not a viable option. The same goes for MmmmSpeciosa. Their stuff is more affordable at lower amounts and not in bulk. I learned that from SoCal and Botanical Bunny.

oops - yeah I did mean 360 a kilo . Their regular price for GMD Elite is 180 for 500 grams , so a kilo would be 360. I did order a lot of their faster strains and I ordered A LOT of the GMD (hyper hippo) , but all of their top 5 or 6 fast strains are $6 or 7$ more an ounce and I don't recall them being on sale very often, more often they were running out of it. A I have learned to shop around better. I think I was pretty susceptible to the price-quality heuristic. The other thing I was getting at that I deleted. Because I had a really positive experience with them for the most part ,and I might check them out again sometime . They sold a product for a certain price and I paid it . Thats nobodies fault but mine for not shopping around and trying different vendors.

but The fact that those fast strains are all twice the regular and sale price - and the consistent strength for over year. AND - the fact that I had a unique and horrible experience with their "fastest" strain " (diamond Malaysia?) one day at work - I had to leave for an hour or so and go walk around a parking lot until I regained my fine motor control and could see straight . It was just too strong , by a long shot. I've been reckless with dosing before but nothing close to that has happened before or after. - It left me with a suspicion that those double price strains might be enhanced to keep the potency and consistency up from batch to batch . I've looked all over their webpage and haven't seen any mention at all that any of the strains might be enhanced. The "Kratom Effects Chart" is really curious. Where they have a red Maeng Da listed as one of their faster strains and whites, yellows and greens mixed liberally through the whole range of the chart and it never changes. Its excellent marketing, but it's kind of confusing for figuring out what works for someone across vendors. If nothing else I will say that I hope the company has a long and prosperous life because it keeps Chris so busy that he doesnt have time to post PUA stuff on "good looking loser".

Never tried happyhippo but Herbal Salvation, MmmmSpeciosa is what i had when i first started, Herbal salvation was very nice hit or miss, mmmm was spot on, great old days. But honestly you can beat the crazy price with smaller batch vendors here that is on par or even better in quality.

Herbal Salvation was so good back in 2016-2017 but not anymore. As far as Happy Hippo, I occasionally order small bags from them only on sale items and only paying with crypto for extra 20% off. They have some decent leaf but I usually buy from small batch vendors such as Lucky herbals, mitraman, LSMS, etc.

Same. I also went thru super speciosa. After going through headshops, mmm seemed cheap. This was way before I knew about the good online vendors. I got 5 ounces for $50 from mmm, it was a "deal" that seemed good at the time. I would still buy their leaf second hand but i never see it on the trading post. It sucks that they're so expensive, but at the same time, at least it started me on the road to where I'm at now. If mmm had had shit kratom, I may have given up on kratom altogether. I remember their baik bali being good, and this was long before sosa sold it. But it worked great for me as a total k newb.

I’ve purchased from them a couple of times and have no complaints. Their Jolly Green and Red Magic are my favorites. FYI: I just received an email from them saying that they’re celebrating their 8th Birthday. Starting 3/1 everything is 30% off all week plus they’re doing giveaways.
