So I decided to try Otie's for three reasons. 1. They had good reviews on other forums. 2. They are located less than 8 miles away from my home 3. I was intrigued by their Black Bali. Now I have to admit I was turned off by the dog pictures on the website. One does not want to think about dogs when considering a consumable substance but hey maybe that is just me. I placed my order and paid. They sent a confirmation of the order. Then several days pass with no information about shipping. I sent them an email and they responded the next day. "
We apologize that it was not shipped yesterday. Our shipping program for USPS was having technical difficulties, all issues should be resolved and everything should be back to normal. We will be including a coupon code for a small discount with your order today.

Okay so the whole point about this was getting the package sooner since they are only 8 miles away and in the same state. I received the package. It looks like they shorted me a good amount. I just tried the Black Bali and it seems decent. I would rate it a 7 out of 10. I think it would be fair to say that I am not going to be using this coupon to place another order from them.
On a better note I received a sample from Kat's Botanicals based in New Jersey. I ordered their Chocolate strain. It was shipped fast and I am giving this strain a 8.5 out of 10. Very euphoric and killing my leg pain. I will be ordering from them again.

what do you mean 'shorted you a good amount'?

always get a weird feeling when someone combines a negative review with a positive one. You wont find a lot of love for the 'chocolate' stuff here, and i can't imgine what black bali would look like.

also lmao at the dog comment. i would be absolutely shocked if anyone else followed a train of thought like that. do you know what a logo is? thats like seeing a wendy's sign and saying, wow, i hate thinking about human bodies when shopping for consumable product.

They gave me less than what I ordered. About 100 grams less. As far as strain choices we each have our own tastes and needs. I was originally not going to include anything about Kat's however I did use their product over the weekend and was impressed. It might help others who are looking for the same things I look for. As far as Otie's is concerned it is absolutely unacceptable to ship out so late and not inform the customer. They also shorted me and their product was not good enough to make up for it. Make of it what you may.

I love oties>> that's their dog ..did u contact them and tell them you got shorted ..they are stellar people ..great customer service and great products too ..I am just confused by this.I have never tried Kats but I will someday soon.

I have never ordered from Oties, but I'm curious about them. Thanks for your review: the more the better .

And I don't know if they provide any one on one service. Could you actually drive over there and pick up an order?

Kats was one of the first online vendors I tried after breaking the bank at headshops. Unfortunately I found Justin’s kratom (I tried a lot of his strains) to be quite meh even though there was so many glowing reviews....you do get a 10% off code for submitting a review. Shipping was always fast.

Chocolate was so underwhelming though. Felt as if I didn’t take anything. The positive of it was that it had the most mild flavor, not unpleasant at all. But you’re right; everyone is different.

Kats was my first online vendor as well. I was still very new to Kratom (around 2 years ago), and the fact that they offered so many different "strains" in 1 oz bags was appealing to me at the time. I must have tried 15 varieties from them and 3 were good: Green Brunei (I still have half a 125g bag of that; I dip into it once in a great while and it still hits well), Digital Buddha (great blend!), and White Bali, which for a long time was one of my favorite whites. Everything else was sort of nothing for me. Great customer service, though.

I have Otie's White Dragon and White Indo both are great. Otie's is a stellar vendor and they always give lots of samples. On the other hand Kat's has never been that good for me. Adam from Otie's is a terrific vendor with fantastic customer service so I'm doubtful about your review especially since you seem to be promoting Kat's.

I agree 100%. It's this person's first comment and it's to trash Otie's to promote Kat's. Also, if you've ever been on Kat's Facebook page it's like a cult over there. Anyway, Adam from Otie's is a stellar vendor and gives tons of samples. Kat's is just fair mediocre I've had much better for sure.

Just took an older batch of oties super green malay this morning and its hitting quite nicely. Adam and Becca have always been good to me as well. Surprised to read this...

I've had a couple of conversations with Adam (Otie's)...love the logo and I love dogs (all animals in fact?!). We also have (outdoor) pets. That should not influence your decision to purchase. What you should be more concerned about is if they package in a clean room and if they lab test. I know Otie's was on the path to GMP until last year...most likely the costs and the pandemic derailed those efforts. Kratom vendors are small business owners. We've all been affected by the state of the nation and shipping issues due to the pandemic. People are spending less. International shipments are taking longer to arrive. Domestic shipping can be a total fiasco right now. These are real issues, and we are all real people. I say, contact your vendor for clarification before posting such a first-time negative review. This is your first interaction on this forum, so it's a bit suspect to me. But hey, do what you like, freedom of speech is encouraged here.
