I picked up a large bag of Botanical Bunny's Yellow Kapuas Lot12, batch 2008 a couple of months back, uncertain of what to expect, but hoping for a bomb batch of ketum. The powder itself is of average mill, neither coarse nor nano, and has a dark sandy complexion peppered with minute pieces of white bone. The aroma is lush and complex, almost tropical in nature, undoubtedly indicative of the source from which it was derived.

My serving size for this particular occasion was 1.5 TSP, or 1.95 grams, and I settled in to watch an old film, anticipating the effects of this YK. After about half an hour, I perceived something creeping up on me subtly, even if it left me uncertain of how to adequately describe the encounter. But what I did recognize was that my aches and pains were melting away, leaving me with a pleasant afterglow that had my body buzzing ever so slightly. This batch won't knock you off your feet or hit you like a freight train on the run, but it will dampen any physical ailments you may be suffering. It is not an ideal strain for energy, but is successful in taking the edge off and relaxing the body at the end of an arduous day.

If you're into the high energy properties of speciosa, I'd look elsewhere, but if it's the analgesic side of things that you value, this might be a good choice to add to your collection.

I was hoping for a little bit more out of this one and had to increase my serving size to really feel it, but it definitely helped to quell some minor discomforts I was experiencing. I am mostly blending it with greens to maximize the effectiveness.
