11/5/20 Update - More Strains Added!

Adding another glowing report to the fast-moving reputation of Denette615. But for the sake of comparison, i'm doing a review of a long gone strain that i just auspiciously came in contact with again. We'll call this my measuring stick, for rating elite strains....

Odus Botanicals Red Elephants (from 2018) -

- Energy - 7/10: Enough not to drag you down. In the lower range of greens almost.
- Mood/Vibe - 9.5/10: Ridiculously enjoyable. Great strain for hanging out and being social. Or fucking off around nobody (how i normally am  )
- Pain Relief - 9.5/10: Does the fuzzy blanket body buzz thing, w/ fantastic general pain relief.
- Overall - 9.5/10: Hard for me to rate anything a 10 ever, so basically it's a 10.

Best strain i've had up until trying Denette's, which is now tied. I've literally been looking for this kind of Red ever since first trying it. Back when i was ordering from Odus i recognized this one stood way apart from all the rest... None of his others came close. And, i just acquired some of this strain again from a friend who's been hoarding a kilo since 2018.... it's just as good as i remember it, even being gone way past it's "use by" date.

Denette615 Red Bones B32 -

- Energy - 7/10: Pretty close to what i described w/ the RE.
- Mood/Vibe - 10/10: Stupidly enjoyable. Could double as an antidepressant? 8-)
- Pain Relief - 9.5/10: Fuzzy blanket body buzz + pain relief, woohooo.
- Overall - 9.5/10: Crazy good.

Lots of hype around here about this one, and it's well deserved. This is a potent, pain relieving red that doesn't knock you out. In fact, it has plenty of energy to function w/ any of my normal tasks. A rare and illusive combination, hence the high demand.

Denette615 Green Bones B32 -

- Energy - 8/10: Keeps you going without feeling like a true stimulant.
- Mood/Vibe - 9.5/10: Bone strains must be known for this attribute. Issa vibe.
- Pain Relief - 7.5/10: Enough to make me forget about the neck pain, but still not on par with a red.
- Overall - 8.5/10: Another homerun. People who love greens shouldn't miss this.

I'll preface the lower score by saying i am way more partial to Red's than Greens. Though i will certainly be trying more now that i've discovered Denette's, since they're his self professed specialty.

Denette615 Green Vietnam -

- Energy - 7/10: Quite neutral, which is fine by me.
- Mood/Vibe - 5/10: Nothing extra in terms of euphoria, but a good candidate for mixing.
- Pain Relief - 8/10: Hits harder than the Green Bones, surprisingly.
- Overall - 7.5/10: Came as a sampler and was a nice surprise on the pain relief front.

Denette615 Green Grampa -

- Energy - 7.5/10: Just enough to matter. Slightly on the higher side of mid.. just a lil lift.
- Mood/Vibe - 7.5/10: Not the vibey-est strain, but the it's nice to have balance here.
- Pain Relief - 8/10: Damn good for a Green. Burned it enough times to say this one hits great
- Overall - 8/10: Getting above an 8.5 for me is a coveted spot. Getting above a 7 means it sits apart from everything else. This strain is super balanced and gives you a bit of everything. Very solid addition to my stash.

Denette615 Red Milk -

- Energy - 6/10: Slow, but not excessively. Can be a good candidate for mixing with a fast one.
- Mood/Vibe - 4-8/10: Heavy red vibe-y goodness. Damn fine.
- Pain Relief - 5-9/10: Getting up there with some of my favorites. Back pain is practically gone.
- Overall - *6.5/10: *Update 4/21 - It turns out ferments do NOT hit consistently for me. I can still blend them, but on their own they're pretty iffy

Denette615 Red MD KA10 -

- Energy - 8/10: The mid spec red that dreams are made of.
- Mood/Vibe - 8/10: Had a really incredible experience with this stuff last weekend. Euphoria enough to just keep you smiling if you're already engaging in an enjoyable activity.
- Pain Relief - 9/10: Damn. Went further beyond what i needed or expected. A nice surprise.
- Overall - 8.25/10: Still don't have enough burns with this to properly assess it's full capabilities, but i dropped 2g after my initial dose last Tuesday and reached a pinnacle of sensation that i haven't since my early Kratom days. Balanced and potent, yet leaning more on the pain relief side. My favorite type of strain in general.

Denette615 Red Jungle -

- Energy - 5/10: Heavy red is heavy. Which i didn't realize i liked until recently.
- Mood/Vibe - 7/10: Pretty cool sensation, just a bit slower than i typically want.. but still good.
- Pain Relief - 8.5/10: Good pain relief for a heavy red, but not as good as Red Milk or RMD.
- Overall - 7.5/10: Excellent strain to sample, though i'll probably keep searching for heavy reds that have a truly heavy body buzz. That's the trade off for me.. if it's gonna be slow, then it needs to be felt all the way down to my toes.

Denette615 Green Dragon -

- Energy - 8.5/10: Nice energy, but not speedy. "Focused", like many others have stated.
- Mood/Vibe - 7.5/10: Honestly it's tough to pinpoint, but it definitely feels more neutral.
- Pain Relief - 6/10: Not a strain suited for pain relief, so i don't expect it to deliver there.
- Overall - 8/10: Really tough to rate this one super high since i primarily use my faster strains for mixers. I might end up liking this strain more as time goes on, but for now it's a solid choice for speeding up my slower stuff, while not weakening the dose overall. I should really try it once purely on it's own, but i'm an evening user 95% of the time, so i don't often reach for fast stuff on it's own.

Denette615 Red Bones 2 MF-1 -

- Energy - 7/10: Another mid spec Red.. please for the love of god keep these coming.
- Mood/Vibe - 5-9/10: Nice, fuzzy bliss to go along with the pain relief. No mixer needed.
- Pain Relief - 5-9.25/10: Everything i ever want from a red.. strong, body buzz, neck pain decimated.
- Overall - *6.5/10: *Update: this one didn't consistently hit for me for some reason... very strange.

Denette615 Green Pure -

- Energy - 6.5/10: I honestly didn't notice an energy dip, but it's def on the slow side of mid.
- Mood/Vibe - 8/10: Really surprised here.. it's so "clean" feeling that you just end up feeling great. Almost like drinking a high grade Japanese green tea.
- Pain Relief - 8/10: No slouch here - this is absolutely a green to take for pain relief.
- Overall - 8.5/10: Very very good experience with this strain. Since reds are my favorite, i've needed to balance in some other types in order to keep my burns strong. So the strategy now is - burn mostly reds starting after my 48h weekly break, then transfer over into greens midway through. The pure is almost "anti-red", as it has no weird heaviness to the head feeling after taking a strong dose. This is the matcha of kratom.

Denette615 Yellow Vietnam -

- Energy - 9/10: As fast as strain as i take, but still may not compare with most whites (which i don't take).
- Mood/Vibe - 8/10: That vibrant energy can def give you a mood boost.. it did for me! :D
- Pain Relief - 8/10: I was surprised at how much relief it provided for a fast strain.
- Overall - *7.75/10: I put an asterisk here indicating a score change compared to my initial impressions. The first time i took this i was absolutely in love with the effects mentioned - Fast + pain relief. However i have noticed that this strain does not hit the same every time, sadly. Spacing the doses far apart in my cycle does keep it pretty fresh, but it doesn't seem like it's ever hit the same as the first time. However this is an EXCELLENT mixing strain.. you can use it to speed up anything slow you're taking, and create a wonderful, well-balanced burn. Others who take kratom for different reasons will absolutely love the energy and mood boost YV provides.

Denette615 Gold MD -

- Energy - 6.5/10: On the mid side of slow.
- Mood/Vibe - 8.5/10: Really surprised with how great i felt.. warm fuzzy blanket + mood boost equals a blissful experience.
- Pain Relief - 9/10: Hits like a strong red, without feeling heavy. Body buzz + neck pain crushed.
- Overall - 9/10: I need more burns with this one, but I would absolutely say this is one of my favorite strains to take already. This is my first introduction to Gold strains, but i'd say it hits like a strong/heavy red, but without some of the typical drawbacks. I hope to god this strain keeps hitting consistently, because it checks all my boxes in terms of what i look for out of kratom. A+

Red Platinum KA13 -

- Energy - 8/10: Quite energetic for a red! I likey!!!!!
- Mood/Vibe - 7/10: Solid bit of smiley buzz feels.
- Pain Relief - 8.25/10: My most important category - despite the speed this still performs like a red in the pain relief realm.
- Overall - 8.5/10: Pain relief + energy is a type of strain i like to keep multiple different choices for. I like mixing this stuff with slower leaf, so the energy gets balanced but still adds a bit of pain relief.

Green Fire R8C -

- Energy - 5/10: Pretty middle of the road.
- Mood/Vibe - 10/10: Mood boost powerhouse. I don't reach for this type of leaf on it's own for the most part, but man was this an enjoyable burn.
- Pain Relief - 6.5/10: The only place this strain is lacking, which it aptly makes up for.
- Overall - 8.5/10: Potent powerhouse of a strain. It came in very limited quantities, which only added to it's sexiness. The lack of pain relief usually leads me to rate this type of strain slower, but the enjoyability of this particular strain in the mood department caused me to reconsider.

Grampa Green 2 (Q1) -

- Energy - 5/10: It almost feels slow, bit really its closer to mid.
- Mood/Vibe - 9/10: Euphoric.... yet focused head feel. Like if your thinking cap was a fuzzy, warm one.
- Pain Relief - 8.5/10: Very solid pain relief for a green. I dig.
- Overall - 9/10: Full spec, potent, and smile-inducing strain with pain relief. Very very enjoyable.... this will instantly be cycled into my regular rotation.

Denette is top notch as a vendor, and goes well beyond the standard fair when it comes to input & interaction. Rating-wise i had been swimming in a sea of 5's and 6's for quite a while now, and i feel like i've just stepped up to a higher tier. Being that his emphasis is on his green strains, does anyone have any other recommendation for strong Reds w/ neutral energy, but lots of pain relief and/or mood elevation? From Denette's or elsewhere...

Been seeing that name a lot during my searches! Any specific strains you'd recommend, that still let you maintain your energy levels?

I used to be the type to go from vendor to vendor to try out everything I could to find out the best to see if I could find The "elusive fire leaf". I've even gone so far as to extract hunt, bur now I find it to be a fool's errand, most Kratom is the same and a lot of it is sourced from the same few distributors. So right now I stick to mainly Denette, who is my absolute favorite, Smiley Time Herbal, SOSA before shit went downhill, and Sacred Son Tea. And a few other odds and ends if I'm feeling bored or risky. Sometimes I'll give herbal-rva a shot just for nostalgic purposes, and there are a few others that favor my payment methods that make it worthwhile (Botanical Bunny). I just don't see the need to have a repertoire of 50 different vendors to choose from anymore

I love Rhino Remedies for mid-spec potent reds. Unfortunately he's out of most of his reds but I think is getting a restock soon. His Premium Red Horn and Prem Red Vein are top-notch. He and Denette are my favorite vendors. He operates on MeWe.

And yes, I've also heard Liza's for pain relief. TFH has some great stuff too. You could probably buy some of TFH on the trading marketplace.

I have to say that I'm in the minority in the Rhino remedy and tfh crowd. Don't get me wrong I like them both just fine, they just don't seem to live up to the expectations of everyone else. For me rhino has been nothing better than average usually about a five or six.

And TFH is, and I really hate to say this, a tad bit overrated for my tastes. I tried many tfh strange and well I did enjoy some of them they just didn't live up to the hype that everyone else seems to put them on the pedestal on. Please don't get me wrong I think Chris and his team are great and they're great people they helped me out a bunch by sending me samples and giving me deals and stuff like that and I am forever grateful but when it comes to being honest there leaf just isn't really my bag.

I believe I've only sampled Liza twice and was overall unimpressed but that's not saying much because of how many strains she has. She could very well have one or two that I don't care for it all and 40 or 50 that I absolutely love so I'm going to leave the jury out on that one. one thing that's kept me from ordering from Liza is the sheer number of strain selections, there are 100+, twice as many is that if you count the enhanced strains. perhaps if I had a friend whose taste to a similar to mine and to give me some pointers I would be more likely to give them a try but as for right now I'm a little bit too overwhelmed to get started. the kilo price is just a little bit out of my range too. Just being honest here no offense men. They seem like good honest people though and I would like to give them business sometime when I have a little fatter pocketbook to work with.

Going back to Rhino and mewe, there are quite a few hidden gems on me.we yet undiscovered that are worth checking out, diamonds in the ruff if you will.

Respectfully disagree. And not sure what your logic is behind mentioning "all of them are the same" and then listing your "favorite" within the same statement. Kind of contradictory, seems like. :?:

Man, i'm glad you re-affirmed this notion! I've decided to give him a try sometime in the near future, once some of these popular reds get replenished. I reckon Denette's should have 80% of what i need, but i'd like to source a couple more "mid-spec, potent reds" like you mentioned.

I take pride in being well disciplined with taking breaks & keeping my tolerance low, so my body definitely knows the difference between good leaf and weaker, lower grade stuff. This journey is not in VEIN, i assure you    :D

Haha! Nice.

Have you had more Denette's menu? I love his greens and many of them feel more like a red to me. Papau and Grampa are both great mid-spec greens.

Brand new, actually. Over the last couple months i've done small orders from a few different vendors, Denette's being one of them. The 3 strains i mentioned above are all i've had so far.

Honestly the strain type does not matter if it still achieves my ultimate goal - pain relief/body buzz. So would you say those greens qualify in that department, on par with a potent Red?

More great reviews and commentary from the boys and girls of doubleM!

On topic for sure.

OP have you had Liza's reds? Her selection is vast, and she offers 'enhanced' leaf (never tried yet but sounds super for pain). I have had her Sleepy blend and Red Headed Stepchild; I don't take kratom for pain for the most part, but my backaches do disappear with these and most kratom.

You should ask Granny and Greyfeather for recommendations, they are Liza's champions here.

I think we discussed Liza's previously in this thread.. so yeah she's definitely still on my radar to try. Surprisingly there's not a lot of comprehensive reviews for her stuff, at least based on what i look for. Perhaps i'll try messaging those users you mentioned

Yes, I think they both check those boxes! I had previous batch Grampa - hopefully the current harvest is similar.

yeah, that was me mentioning liza, lol. her price for samplers is a good deal, and with so many reds there is bound to be some that maintain energy and reduce pain. Try contact Liza herself, she is charming and knowledgeable.

I think i'll take both of these recommendations, thanks guys! Since my first one was small, i'm still doing a bigger Denette's order in the immediate future. Doing a 4 way split - Red MD and Green Grampa have made the list.... Green Dragon will probably be the other green, since i've heard it's strong. Still trying to figure out my last choice for a Red....

just wanted to pop on here and say dennette is next on my list to try im hearing a lot of good things about them,I'm trying Rhino next placed an order today actually,
About TFH just wanted to say their leaf i have is all top notch, but I've noticed many people saying with their leaf less is best just wondering if you've tried lower doses is it weird to say their leaf is like a song all kinds of notes,i will love their wild crafted gold 4 ever and wild crafted yellow actually live them all.
Now to Lizas I have tried so much of her leaf but if your looking for pain control her reds would be your friend off the top of my head her red crow, red zombie love All her zombies ,red dayak all Awesome choice her red bent and chocolate bent top notch and her list is long im still trying to work my way thru it lol seriously tho her RHSC is my #1

if you are looking for a final red, red milk is quite nice. however if youre looking for sedating/evening/pain stuff, the red jungle is one of like 5 batches i have that i know will knock me out

Two votes for Red Milk is kinda hard to ignore, so think I might go for it. As far as heavy/sedating reds, I’m really picky on those and don’t prefer to take them most of the time. I’ll probably pick a red like that for my first sample, along with an extra green you guys mentioned.

Thanks to GrannyJ for chiming in with the liza’s suggestion.. these are in the cue for the coming month!

If you arent big on heavy reds I wouldnt recommend red milk it is very slow. Red Maeng Da is great

Hah, thanks for the warning! His RMD is already going on the order. Honestly i love reds enough to be cool with a slower one... perhaps somewhere in between mid spec and full on KO (the Jungle they mentioned sounds too heavy). If there's a favorable mood boost attached to it i could stand to have a late night strain around, to slow down the vibe a little. The search for mid spec, high pain relieving reds will continue with some different vendors once they get restocked. Since i'm placing an order anyways, then i might as well have the best Denette's has to offer, slow or not! (though hoping for no full on KO strains :) )

My 4 split Kilo arrived on Monday, and I can't wait to try them. He also sent a nice sample of Red Bone. Whoop Whoop!!

Thanks Denette :D

I think i'll take both of these recommendations, thanks guys! Since my first one was small, i'm still doing a bigger Denette's order in the immediate future. Doing a 4 way split - Red MD and Green Grampa have made the list.... Green Dragon will probably be the other green, since i've heard it's strong. Still trying to figure out my last choice for a Red....
Green dragon, red maeng da, green pure, and green sumatra are all fire
What Corde32 said!! :D Those 4 would make a killer split! Green Pure is a hidden gem, one of my favorites this year! Green and Red Milk also FIRE!

I really hope he gets Green Milk again soon. I've still never had a chance to order it.

Green Milk was definitely amazing. Probably my favorite green out of all the ones I've had from him.

Just had three grams of the Red Milk.
Pain relief is VERY good and I'm the calmest I have been today. Love it :D

Damn d615 I dont think anything on your menu is going to be a "hidden gem" anymore you are blowing up...and rightfully so. Your price/quality ratio is insane. Definitely arguably the number 1 best leaf right now.

Been seeing that name a lot during my searches! Any specific strains you'd recommend, that still let you maintain your energy levels?
All of the Reds I have ordered from Liza have been good for my pain. Except - for some reason the Red Borneo was a miss but it will send you sleep ;) . I bought the Red Maeng Da which did help for pain but I cannot tolerate greens very well (a lot of Maeng da is a blend Red+Greed or White) so if you have trouble with stimulants you might want to avoid that last 'strain'.

Liza has consistently potent leaf. I don't know who supplies her, but she never disappoints. If you miss SOSA leaf You'll get the same or better from Liza and - no - I'm not a "paid advertiser"  . I'm pretty sure she doesn't even know who I am. My first choice will always be TFH, but Liza is right behind.

What a fabulous review thread this is! I will be ordering some Denette in Friday for sure. I’m a longtime lurker but not much of a poster. Which biz is Liza?

Hey y’all. I never tire of seeing the creative usernames here (welcome to DoubleMHerbals, lisaislosingit! Lol)

This thread is AWESOME! Reaffirms my side ventures (I represent InSense and Gold Leaf Botanicals with pride! But I use more than one vendor, mostly because I enjoy the hunt for “diamonds”). One vendor product use is unacceptable to me, no matter what. Especially with “stale strain syndrome”, which is not really applicable to strains in my case, but rather whole vendor lines do grow old if not rotated.

So many good reviews without any insults or personal attacks. Ideal forum fun AND helpful sans agendas.

Over time, thanks to everyone on the forum, I am sorta able to tell whose metabolism responds well to the products I seem to. Really helps because I’m getting tarred of trying new, new, new vendors now that they are STILL popping up like zits! So many GOOD VENDORS, too! Not like the old days where everyone knew who kinda had “seconds” n stuff.

I’m trying to go a similar direction as Kaitlynfutball (sorry for spelling that wrong. If I go check out the proper spelling, I’ll lose my train of thought and the passion for posting on this topic as well). A few good vendors is becoming the right road of my future.

Thank y’all for clarifying very well in your reviews. Thumbs up for folks on DoubleMHerbals!
