Review on mixing the 2 50/50. It is hard to do a review on any single strain because I never take a single strain alone. However these 2 are the stars of this open event. I take a higher amount somewhere in the range of 10-12g but let me say with mixing these 2 I got the perfect amount of energy/euphoria/and pain relief. This is the holy grail here. Everything I ordered was jam up but these 2 were my favorites.

The cool thing about Samarinda ?? It's a totally different region of Borneo... compared to ALL the other Kapuas River/ Ponti leaf which is 90% of all kratom - IF, and I do trust TFH here... IF this is genuine Samarinda leaf, East Kali -vs- West, you're getting a whole new alkaloid profile - there are likely Tons of good potent, old-growth Wild Harvest trees in this area!

Great info Ballz, and agreed on trusting TFH actually collects those leafs from that region, in order to name it Samarinda.

You see Pontianak? Southwest port? It's all headed there. Shape, color, none of that matters it's all gonna be milled together, have a name put on it and shipped out

With probably 99 out of 100 vendors, I would agree with you absolutely and without a doubt. All of the big vendors are getting their “strains” out of a vast pool of leaves. The small batch purveyors with better quality are probably paying to have their leaves collected from one of the many streams that empty into this vast pool.

Gumby (TFH) is probably the only vendor I know of that has any level of actual control on his supply chain so this strain very well could be from Samarinda. (He didn’t really come out and state that all the regionally named strains are made up of leaf originating from said region though) BUT - The idea of actually KNOWING where your leaf comes from is right up Gumby’s alley. I think he would probably pay to have PROVEN leaf from a certain region just to satisfy his own curiosity of is there actually any perceptible difference in the alkaloid profile. Then again, paying to make that regional leaf available to all of his customers may be a bit of a stretch.

I’m sure if we asked him he’d tell us though ...

Hi jabro yes Gumby's obviously doing things a bit different from most, check his Green Powder channel on YouTube for anyone curious.. and for sure VERY different from the "Big Kratom" guys who import 20 Tons Cargo leaf per month. To say that ALL kratom, is now "Big Kratom" Bulk Cargo crap just ain't true.

Pontianak is NOT the only Export terminal for kratom. 8-) Sumatra is, has always been, the 2nd source and many Sumatra guys ship direct from Medan. Ask Fused Flora and many other US vendors, who deal with Sumatra.. where is Aceh located? Oh yeah... Sumatra. Way far away from Pontianak. I'm just observing Samarinda being located on the opposite side of Borneo, WHY would it make any sense, to truck the leaf that distance? Samarinda IS the largest city in Borneo. https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/the ... orneo.html

Sure, we know the "Vietnam strains" are fake, and there's probably some Ponti hustlers selling bogus "Red Sumatra", but it totally makes sense that kratom IS harvested and shipped from Samarinda, and Banjarmasin as well ? How about Muara Teweh, anyone ??
