EXTRACTS mega review (Calebs, Magnum Opus, and more)

If you dont like extracts, dont read this. If you are just going to say that they raise tolerance, you dont have to. a lot of people have a heavy history with substances that really mess with receptors, and need a little extra to get the relief they need or feeling they want. im not advocating anyone do anything. my history with mu agonists is storied. opms and super k shots were products i used long term and used to transition from other stuff that would kill me. quarantine is actually what got me to change my habits and products. the cost benefit is obvious.
so after scouring the forums here and a little bit on reddit to get more insight, i figured to order a swath of products to keep a rotation while understanding not everything will work the same as the consistency of super k goop.
all extracts consumed with plain leaf for full effects, all extracts dosed with 1/4 tsp spoon, full flat scoops or half scoops (1/8th tsp)
just listing in order of procurement. my ability to identify better sellers improves as i spend more time reading and learning...
VIABLE SOLUTIONS (formerly herbal salvation, from which i used to buy years ago and their quality was top notch)
very quick shipping and processing, standard USPS envelope arrival. surprised how bloated the envelope was. any more product inside it would have likely ripped.
Ultra Enhanced White - 5/10 definitely enhanced. it cant be with their gold reserve because its so different feeling. very quick and euphoric but it takes a good amount to get feeling. i do not like viable solutions plain leaf (first dose i took from the sample pack thats now sitting in the back of the closet caused me to violently vomit it back out. havent revisted it)
Ultra Enhanced Red 5.5/10 - better analgesia than the white. tbh these are almost identical powder-wise. goes well with a nice green leaf. not quite feel-it-in-the-legs material but probably great in a pinch. will not be ordering UE leaf from them again. as i would rather stick to the good leaf i have now
Gold Reserve - 6.8/10 honestly not bad. the price is around the point where there is better stuff for similar cost. very gold color, super yellow, sort of close to how the old OPMS gold capsules looked with a few hues of brown in there. no crystals or texture change besides the weird little pink flecks that show up. dunno what the pink specks are but i like them. they do not dissolve, but the rest of the gold powder does. dosing around .75g and it is very enhancing to the leaf your using it with. different strengths for different strains. honestly half a teaspoon of the UE red and 1/4 tsp of the gold is real real real nice. im figuring that plus another full teaspoon of plain leaf equals a dose ~tolerance wise~ to between 5.5 and 8 grams plain leaf with less than half the powder. tolerance increase didnt really happen when keeping consistent dosing quantities. anyway yeah, the gold reserves not bad. sticks a pair of legs on whatever youre burning it with.
SHAMANS GARDEN
20x bali extract 7.7/10 - dark powder that is not super clumpy but tends to rise to the surface of a glass of liquid. tends to stick together a bit but with smaller doses of powder it mixes much better than the 35x. pretty good feeling, enough to notice that every time I used it, i got a very positive mood lift and euphoria. almost energetic. very nice. dont really love the 4g serving size and the bag quality is probably the worst of the bunch of vendors i got besides Viable. not bad. will likely order this again in the future.
35x maeng da extract - overall 7/10 but quality of effect is an 8.5 . super chunky dark dark brown, little resin-y clusters that turn back to powder when pressures applied. sticky together, kinda. DOES not dissolve in water or liquid and floats to the top, Not a lot of fun for my stir-and-chug method of dosing. This factor alone is enough to not order it again despite that it is pretty effective and strong.
PHYTOEXTRACTUM
so i saw this company reviewed and mentioned here and had placed an order before reading all the posts saying dont do it, so, yeah. the fact that its like 3 companies by the same folks selling the same shit is sketchy and not great. cant argue with like 70 bucks of store credit for leaving reviews. and free priority shipping on over 75 bucks spent is not bad at all considering their best extract is at minimum 45 smackers. compared to opms liquid shots it is still a better price for me.
Platinum 9/10 - apparently 11% alkaloid content according to their online support since i couldnt differentiate their extracts. at 45 dollars for 5 grams its on par for one of the most expensive extracts i've tried for these reviews. also has the pink flecks in spades. more pink flecks. tastes pretty bitter, but really does the trick. must be careful dosing these stronger ones because i need less, and dont want to over do it. i re-ordered this.
Elite - 7.5/10 . this is apparently 9% alk and looks identical to the platinum except there is no pink flecks. this actually feels stronger with some strains. did not have consistent effects the way that i did with the platinum but when it works and hits, it really hits. awesome euphoria between this and the platinum.
Full Spec Maeng Da 6/10 - got this with store credit. 10 dollars cheaper than the platinum and its a noticeable drop in quality based on dosage requirements on my end. tbh i dumped the remainder of the elite and the supercritical into this to fluff it and make it on par with the other stuff from Phyto.
MITRAGAIA
20x 6.9/10 . 30$ ounce. treated this like enhanced leaf and does feel awesome when enough is taken but thats almost 1.5g which feels like too much...? i dont know. i love the deep dark gold color of it and the fluff but i wish for a 20x it was a bit stronger. i mean 20x...what does that even mean anymore, its all wonky and definitely not uniform
50x . 4/10 ordered like 7 gs of this. they all come in 1g bags and boy if anyone ever saw my stash they would think i relapsed on dope. dont love the baggies. tough to scoop from considering at 3 bucks a gram, you need almost the whole gram to get an effect. maybe it is my chemistry., apparently this is not the same black diamond stuff that used to exist that i never tried. since i dont get much from it, i want to toss it onto other products but dont because itll have negative impact on tolerance. honestly trying to use it just so those bags are gone
MAGNUM OPUS
20% -9/10 . ordered 5g of the 20% since 10 seemed too low and 30 seemed a bit pricey and maybe too good. Its really balanced, and effective. across the board this is the one i want to use most of and the one i try to save most often. Ordered another bag of this in 10gs tonight because yeah, it seems to go fast despite trying to keep it to 1/4tsp servings
Pure Alkaloid 7.8/10 . this came with a little 2 sided microscoop that is likely between 15 and 20mg for the big size. super helpful. if caleb included this in his, that investment would be so worth it, even having it as an extra for a dollar or two. the powder is textured super super fine. scoops crazy well and the powder is prone to fly if you dont move deliberately and smoothly when scooping. no flinging. 1g looks like a lot w their packaging, ive used this 10 times (adding like 40mg to a dose) and it doesnt look like ive used any. tbh i need to use this more to try and get better effect. probably really really awesome for pain, the euphoria that i was seeking does not shine as brightly as i was hoping. but the way it extends leaf and the effect time, its for sure worth it. obviously used sparingly
CALEBS
Pure Alks 9.2/10- ordered 1g of this and have used it a bunch. like 20 times adding a speckle here, 30mg there, 60mg there, etc. it goes a long way and lasts. my 1/2g order came today and i compared what was left of my gram and i had over half a g left. this shit is awesome. one of 2 products that give me the nose-itch that other substances have previously provided. but more importantly, ANY pain is decimated. great for the dinner-time dose. awesome stuff. the container, also, is great, and good for storage and dosing with a microscoop.
C02 supercritical 9/10- beautiful dark crimson/brown powder in his nice little bags. hard to get the last bit of it but its very consistent and very warm blanket-y if you like that. i used at night and loved the relaxation that came with it.
full spectrum N/A - just arrived today. havent used it yet but looks surprisingly darker than i thought. looks great. 10:1 accordning to the site where the supercritical was 20:1. i dont know if that means doubkle my scoops or what, but will start low.
enhanced blend (White Horn) 7/10 - Read somewhere Caleb uses Gaia leaf for his enhanced blends, after I sent my order. I got this before buying just the FSE because i like my morning dose with a little extract and a little enhanced leaf with a 1.3 of white. The 70:30 ratio he uses lets the strength come through, especially when used without other extract or product. 4g of this would be a great dose, i think, with my tolerance.
WONDERLAND GARDENS
*none of these have number ratings because i havent tried these enough to rate honestly and accurately
arrived today after further scoping the threads discussing extract. their bags are different, not mylar, but like, a harder plastic or something. a new one for me.
Green Batek - 1oz for 9 dollars and was raved about on here. he has white too and maybe a red i cant remmeber. it looks awesome and i took a dose today and it felt pretty strong.
50x Red diamond - this shit looks CRAZY., it looks like those fake black rock pebbles for fishtanks or something...its crazy. i look forward to finding my dose as their page says to start with 1g with a little leaf, so will see. this is a texture ive never seen before but imagine that old mitragaia black diamond product looked similar. its like, shiny. crazy.
Black Crystal - seems like a lesser version of the diamond? i dont know really how to tell since their price points are not far away with 2 dollars a g for the diamond and 1.25 a g for this . i think. looks black, and very fine, similar to calebs FSE but darker.
Friday 13th Blend - visible extract added. really stoked for this. these blends they offer are somethin' else. took some tonight and its effective to say the least.
Green Dragon (??????) received 50g bag of something called green dragon. not listed on their product page or blends or green strains? maybe they are feeling out a new strain. i hope this was not an accident since 50g feels like....a lot.

Nicely done and welcome to MM - many of us don't have experience with a variety of Extract products out there. For me it's been Caleb's, and a MoBo sample and that's it.. I have never sprung for much retail, OPMS caps or Viva Zen or any that crap. I prob should buy some more just for fun. Good to hear U consider Caleb's stacks up pretty well.
