I hope no one will accuse me of shilling, I know these guys are not always popular around here so I might be giving a bit of contrarian opinion, but I've been using them for almost a year and a half and I've had a really good experience, so I hope you'll hear me out. I feel like I owe it to them to give a decent review after having an exceptionally good experience as a customer for so long. Before getting into the kratom quality, I just want to say that customer service is excellent. I've had some payment issues before where my payment didn't go through. For some reason, I didn't see the email informing me. They allowed me to make almost 7 more orders before blocking me to get my attention. Despite accidentally ripping them off, they were really cool about it. They allowed me to just pay through Paypal and did not fine me, even though it was there policy to do so. I had the issue resolved within a few hours after I realized it. I've contacted them numerous times about various things, and they always get back to me right away despite the fact that they are a pretty large vendor and have a lot of customers, and they always specifically address my questions instead of giving me a cookie cutter answer like most large sellers of any product do.

The quality of the kratom is where people seem to take issue with MitraGaia. I should say that every once in a great while, I will get a bad batch from them without a doubt. I take about 14 grams of red a day with two doses twice a day so I order pretty large amounts pretty often. I would say once every 8 orders, I will get a batch that's complete crap, either it doesn't work at all or it's that horrible type of kratom that seems to have more antagonists then agonists and actually makes you dysphoric. (I believe I have posted about that on here before). On a scale of 1-10, I'd say 95% of the stuff I get from them is a 7-8 in terms of strength. I should emphasize that before I started ordering from them, I got my stuff from a local in town, (Cool guy, but rip-off prices as he was just ordering from vendors and selling at an upcharge instead of ordering wholesale), and besides his stuff and Mitragaia I have only tried two other vendors, pure kratom and some local vendor, so it could be that I just don't know good kratom, but the fact is it works for me. I actually think Mitragaia's stuff is better than Pure Kratom, even though Pure Kratom is really expensive and is supposed to be high quality. I don't like it that they use the marketing method of listing a bunch of made up strains as though they are different things (from my understanding, besides Maeng Da and Bali, most other strains are fake right?) but the fact is almost all large vendors do this.

I know they get a lot of crap, and maybe other people have had bad experiences, or just have a more refined taste then I do. But their product almost always work extremely well for me, it ships on time without fail, payment is easy, the customer service is good, and I'm able to support my kratom habit for less than the price that expresso addicts spend at Starbucks every day. I'm sure the criticisms are valid, and I don't want to start any arguments, but I just wanted to share my experience as a long time customer.

I have some red bali and green malay from back when Gaia was a more respected company, and really like both of those. Late last summer I decided to put an order in and see what their product status really was. I tried their red indo and really liked it. Can't attest to anything else because I never got around to trying it.

I'm sure many people say that they've received junk kratom from gaia because they've actually received junk kratom from gaia. I'm just not one of them.

I dont mind mitragaia. I got a sampler last year and none of the strains were duds. None were 8's or 9's, but they're all decent. I still burn it sometimes. I like the whites, though the first time it gave me the jitters. I think I have the white sunda and white kali. They're not as "clean" as whites that you'll find from vendors on these forums, but thats fine for me every once in a while.

So I used to order split keys from gaia WAY back in the reddit days and they would usually be "decent".. My favorite was their Red Bali and Ganesh MD... Has anyone tried any of those two 'strains' recently? Or tried anything from them recently? I just see so many bad reviews now-a-days that i never order from them anymore.

I still have Kilo bags from a couple of years ago that is decent leaf, Super Green Malay and Green MD, still enjoy every now and again. Too many strains with inconsistency and consequently too much MEH. Glad to have found better vendors with consistency.

I decided to use my first post on Double M to weigh in here, been lurking a long time. I've been shopping with Gaia on and off for about 5 years now. I've never understood the harshness thrown at Dan and co. here. Customer service is always incredible, even as they've grown over the years. Shipping is always quick and on point and I've never had an issue receiving an order.

Like OP, I'd say probably 95% of strains over the years have been 'hits' for me with only the very rare 'miss'. I'd say its pretty much standard, in fact it's what I weigh other strains from other vendors against. To be fair it's also rare that a strain from them is "fire", probably same frequency as the 'misses'. I've also tried a few of the popular vendors on this platform, including "fire" batches of certain strains and haven't been blown away like I'd hoped. Seems to me, at least with my body chemistry, that most kratom is 'standard' with the occasional diamond in the rough...

That said, to answer the poster above, the last few months I have made sure to include the Ganesh MD in every single order. Over the years it's always been consistent for me and lately it's been what I'd describe as above average but not fire. I'd say it's worth a shot picking some up.

I'll use this first post as well to say thank you to everyone in this community. I find the information valuable and I admire a lot of the vendors on here for how they run their businesses, especially during this trying time!

I can say for myself that the harsh reviews come from the fact that I literally have never even had an average strain from Gaia no less anything remotely impressive.... Their customer service, fast shipping and so one is completely irrelevant IMHO if the product does nothing for me really.
