Picked up a few strains from them that was stellar and wanted to share some quick reviews to anyone curious about his recent selection. Got around to try 2 strain i got recently, with more to come.
DG has been around for awhile, their website host was constantly being cyber attacked in 2019 and hasn't had a website up in almost a year. He just takes email orders, and only to established customers, and is not accepting new customers. If you go to his website at www.dgbotanicals.com their is a lengthy post about them, what he stands for and info about the online kratom industry, very interesting read.

Super red kali: 8/10
mid spec with great legs. high mood lift, moderate sedation, moderate to high energy, moderate euphoria. Love this strain. Been getting the super red kali off and on for 1-2 years and for me it stays pretty consistent .

Super red MD: 9/10
mid to low spec. Heavy sedation, somewhat narcotic like. moderate mood lift, with moderate energy, and low euphoria. Great night time strain to relax but does not make me sleepy, just really sedated and in a great mood, very chatty.

It's nice to see someone still talking about DG. I've been wondering about feedback for his new strains, but it's been so quiet everywhere.

Regarding the Super Red MD, when you say narcotic-like, does that mean it includes that super fuzzy, warm blanket with that nodding euphoria? How is it for pain?

How was the Super Red Kali compared to the batches from 1/19-6/19? Those were pretty decent, but not amazing. Still looking for something like the old Red Horned Kali he used to have years ago.

I picked up some samples and only got around to trying the Red Indo, which was unfortunately underwhelming. It was there, but just didn't want to shine through. Perhaps it's a tolerance thing, because it takes something special to shine lately. I wonder if the Super Red Indo would be any better? Would love to come across a good Indo.

What else did you get from him? I'd love to hear your other reviews for the current strains he has!

The red Indo you found underwhelming, what’s the batch date?

So an update on the Red Indo. Batch is #165 from his current stock. I believe this has some potential to be a decent strain and will require another test. It has some mild warm fuzzies, but nothing really stood out to me. Tolerance may be an issue for me, so keep that in mind. I did however get a very good night's sleep, which makes me think this strain has some potential. Although it didn't put me to sleep, I found it easy to get to sleep and body was heavy all night once I did.

For reference, I'm comparing this to the Red Indo and Super Red Indo from his 6/19 batches.

I'd love to know how others responded to this strain.

super red md effects are more or less then what you described. Sedation in terms of eyes being heavy, super relaxed muscles, just want to sit in one place and chill to the max, but not sleep in any kind of way. For pain management i can't really tell because i don't take kratom for pain so couldn't really say. I mostly take kratom for anxiety, and these strains work like magic.

As far as the super red kali quality in comparison to earlier 2019 batches, i thought it pretty consistant with most of the 2019 batches, some better then others, probably like this current batch better. I used to always get the super red indo too, above average strain mid spec. but haven't gotten it since last year sometime. I may order some next time.
Same with the regular red indo haven't got that one in awhile, and then i think i only got red indo once.. But i remember not really liking it. Not that it was a terrible strain, for me it was very slow in effects, too slow for my liking.

For another good red indo if i was you i would suggest the red indo from http://www.sosaspeciosa.com i can't comment on the current batch, but previous batches have been super nice. mid spec strain or maybe on the slow side.

I have a few other dg strains right now i still haven't been able to get to yet but will soon. when i do i'll post them on here if interested in his current batches.

That would be great if you could share your opinion on the other strains when you get around to them! I just sampled the Premium Red tonight. Could be a dirty burner, but not too much from this one. It seems to creep up about an hour or so in, but nothing amazing. Slightly warm and relaxing. Another Premium Red he had hit me strong once and then nothing from it since that first time, so it could be me. His Super Red MD from 6/19 came through beautifully earlier this week though, so I'm not sure.

Could you please share with me the Batch #'s for that Super Red MD and the Kali? From what you're saying about the MD especially, I'll definitely want to pick up some.

Matt11-

Has he got the Deep Jungle Red in stock or the Red Malay? Those were 2 of his regs that were awesome last summer (along with the Red Indo). I guess I need to email them for a menu.

I didn't see the Deep Jungle Red on the menu unfortunately. There is a Borneo MD which is described as relaxing, low end. The DJR was something special and I wish I had gotten more. He does have a Red Malay in stock, but I have no idea of it's quality.

no deep jungle red at the moment, haven't seen that one in awhile. Still has red malay in stock. Haven't tried these 2 in awhile. I try to stay away from reds, unless it's mid spec red's

If anyone has any Red Indo from DG, that he had most of last year up until the end of last October, that they’re interested in parting with, please DM me. I’d love to make it worth your while.

DG may still have some of that red indo from that time frame. From what i understand about his menu is that he has multiple batches of each strains, going back to well into 2019.

You should email him and ask if he has the red indo from those months your interested in. You may be in luck

yeah same here, when the website went down i started finding new vendors that are equally as awesome. Until i found out he's still doing business as normal via. email.
Right now my top 3 go to vendors would be DG, re-leaf, and soultanic greenery. Recently found re-leaf and their quality is amazing. Sosa is awesome as well. I tried at least 7 strains from TFH and only one strain was just "okay". 30yr wild green, and then it was just mediocre :?

Everyone seems to love the yellow MD from DG. I didn't really care for it much. The best regular MD i had of his was in 2018, Maeng Da "R" supplier. But that classic MD 2 & 3 were just out of this world fire!!

You truly didn't have any hits from TFH can be understandable.... But then you found that many standouts with re-leaf no less can rationalize those prices????

Thanks for the thought. I had reached out and he is out of that batch of Red Indo. It’s one of my all time fave strains and I’d love to find even a 100-500g supply to put into the apocalypse ration supply!

Yeah Ace, I still have some of the June batch - it’s one of my faves! Although it doesn’t hit me that heavy - I actually get a little energy from it. But yes, it was a stellar batch.

Tbaby - i do still have the June ‘19 Red Indo. My last message to you back in Jan/early Feb sat in my outbox for a few weeks so I figured you had changed your mind. If you do still want it, send me a pm. It’s not really a strain that I really wanted to get rid of, so if not that’s cool too. I was just attempting to help another leaf-lover out.

I loved DG leaf but just too pricey for me. Great leaf but some of the top quality vendors out there such as TFH Smiley Time etc have just as good if not better leaf for half the cost

I've been ordering almost exclusively from DG for a few years (Sense the Reddit days)... So What are some of DG's best strains right now in your opinion? I've always loved his premium red (it never made me sleepy, always put me in a great calm and relaxing mood).. The super red MD was great too last time I got it... I usually get his greens (borneo, indo, horn) and they are usually pretty good. Anyone else order from DG lately and if so what are your favorite strains?
