First Order From First Coast Teas (Formerly SoCal Herbal)

Hello guys I’m new here. Used to purchase from SoCal Herbal Remedies a bunch back in the day and just seen that they moved and renamed the store to a First Coast Teas. Just placed my first order with them and noticed the old discount code from SoCal still works. Use “Sample9” to get $15 off an order of 9 (1 Oz) samples. Just figured I’d share the code if anyone was thinking about placing an order! I will post an update after I receive and test my order!

If find any gems that edge out, please do let us know. Did they change the kratom source or is it still same, anyone know?

I Wonder how the Green Zareena burns these days. Have always heard good things about it. Good to see an improvement from the ugly as sin branding/packaging he had before the move.

SoCal's green zareena was SO good, I'd definitely like to know if it's still bringing the heat.

I agree. I got the first batch of Zareena they ever sold a couple years back and it is my top 3 all time daytime strains. I think it was late 2016 they first starting selling Zareena. Man I wish I got more of that first batch. I still have about 50 grams left, and I savor it.
While it was never as good as that first batch, Zareena was always a consistent good mid-spec to fast green with good pain relief and great mood boost. Haven't ordered it or from socal is prob a year or more though

Yep, I've got a dwindling bag of Zareena from a few years back that I've been hoarding like gold. It's such a solid, reliable burn.

Welcome to MM KratemboBate'm thats a good 1st post!
Sample9 is the CODE, for sure. 9 ounces = 252g

Mix and Match, and I'm a Socal customer too. They had always been on the Reddit
Vendor List.
I guess the concern with moving/ re-naming IS that, it's not the same operation & last I checked they had nowhere near, the BIG selection of 2017 -18. One of their Major suppliers was
BorneoHale a top professional Indo supplier and I feel it's OK now to reveal this source, since "First Coast" does not carry the BorneoHale strains: White Horn, Red Cambodian, etc some of SoCal's TOP sellers .. so First Coast made a decision to go more Retail, and stock a lower selection. Good to know the CODE coupon is valid, however they do have a much lower selection: 1 Maeng Da, 1 Hulu and maybe Zareena and then a Bali etc. I don't see any of the Sulawesi or Cambodian's that made SoCal special... Time will tell, I guess is the current RB1 or Red Bali, as good as the popular RB1 back in 2018?

So how was the Bali (or any of the others)?

So far I didn’t have good luck with the Red Bali but will give it another go tonight. I have tried 3 of the samples so far and the best has been the Green Malay followed by the White Maeng Da. However I’ve only tried each one once so far except the Green Malay. The Green Malay I had twice and it was very a enjoyable burn both times very clean onset. I’ve only been back to using Kratom for a week or so, it’s been like 2 years since I was using it daily. So trying to rate them at this time wouldn’t be any benefit to anyone else because I don’t have a good sense of what a good burn should feel like yet.

So how was his other strains? I was thinking about putting in a sample order but the last bag of red bali i got from him was not good at all.. And his red bali is usually pretty good... Were any of his other strains good right now??

I really wanted to try samples but based on how dead this is, i will pass. Their Green Vietnam a while back ago was pretty enjoyable.

The white elephant and green elephant are both very good right now. The white elephant is almost in "fire" territory imo.

Perfect, I love fast pick me up white strains days when you need it. If its anything similar to white vietnam TFH, i will be happy. The white vietnam, it is so fast i feel it in less then 15 min, so if you have major pain or need fast relief, this tfh was amazing, i really hope the white elephant is very similar in nature from FCT/socal. I will review soon. I will test the fire theory.

First Coast Tea has now completely recovered from their MOVE and re-name operation!! Appears that all the old favorites are back:
- Super Green Borneo
- Green & Red Hulu Kapuas
- Red Cambodian and all Riau strains
- Red & Green Sulawesi strains
Since I had questioned the status (and for months, their stock was low!) I didn't know what to think but now.. Stock is equal or better to their old SoCal selection, AND they now carry many variety Caps, plus lots and lots of other herbal products. This has always been a leading vendor in the kratom biz.. Always among the best deals and lowest prices. I checked, and the code = SAMPLE9 still works!
Mix or Match 9 Ounces in your shopping cart. Knock $15 off the price.

Maybe a repeat of the red Bali from last June?

That's the real question from me. I haven't had any since 2017 but man that red bali was something special.
Or perhaps IS something special? Let's hope.

The green hulu I used to get from SoCal was the best kratom ive ever had then I got one batch that was so bad I dont even think it was kratom. It burned the hell out of my throat and they never answered my emails about it so I never ordered from them again. Still makes me sad cause that hulu was amazing.

Hi people I’m new here
SoCal red Bali was the first Kratom I tried a couple years ago and it was awesome.
Got a 2nd bottle a year or so later and it wasn’t as good.
Just placed an order with FirstCoast and in the meantime am also trying Kraoma.
Interested in hearing your opinion on that first coast red.
Thanks

I think I remember that batch. Took 6g of it and felt nothing. Ended up tossing my bag. That 2015 Green Hulu is one of my all time favorites, the red Hulu was more consistent tho. Also miss the green zareena, gold bentuangie, and that RED SUNDA. So dank
Definitely interested in trying some red Hulu. I like energetic red Hulu more than heavy red Hulu (motark, lizas botanicals for example)

Those OG RB’s were great - But, One of my favorites batches of all time was the Green Sulawesi from 3/19 - I wish I could find some of that around. I remember not too many people liking it, but It meshed well with me.

SoCal used to have a Red Sunda that was killer. I still have a bag of their Green Monster that I dip into, quite good.
Unfortunately I have a bunch of sample packs that are bunk/headache kratom.

I thought I would order some sample packs from these guys based on SoCal's rep. Needless to say I dont like ANY of these. I hate wasting money on bunk. Live and learn

Wow, that's awful, I've never had that experience. I wonder if this was the "headache" kratom. There was a 9-month stretch or more where kratom not only didn't have any positive effects, it ended up causing headaches and/or drowsiness (and not a good drowsiness). It was awful, and felt like things would never be the same again. It was across the board vendor-wise too, IME. But I never experienced any burning. Yikes.

I miss that 2014-15 GHK. I've been chasing after it ever since, but it's never been the same. I was about to try some GHK again, but according to below, it seems it's still just gambling on a losing bet. Any recommendations for similar vendors/strains like the GHK of yore?

Euphoric/energizing is the goal

I remember the headache "era". It was a dark period of time :/ I've wondered if condensing bulk headache kratom might output working extract, or if it would just compound the headachery. Thoughts?

Thanks for the heads-up, I was about to order some GHK from them, hoping maybe it was like the good ol' days. Do you have a more reliable recommendation besides FCT/Socal?

Socal was strong as hell for a while I remember that green zareena. When they were posting Mitra content of their strains it was pretty accurate they had some good stuff for a minute. Then in 2017 or so it stopped being worth buying.
I ordered some of the bag green leaf in 2019 it was nothing to write home about and I was also getting the tubs of powder for a while when they were still Socal and the tubs were good but a little steep.
Once they moved i thought about trying them again but this thread sold me on probably not ordering from them any time soon.

I bought samples of all of their reds and a couple of greens in late June with the good old SAMPLE9 code. The Green Horn is decent, a kind of warm and fuzzy mid-spec, but nothing else stood out. The most disappointing was the Red Hulu - the 7-OH mitra was the highest of all their offerings, but it ran kind of fast with no real pain killing properties. It's too bad, I have some Red Borneo and Red Sumatra from earlier this year that I like a lot.

Thanks for the post. I REALLY REALLY REALLY liked them before. I had bought a “barely used” stash of their reds in good sized bags. Lasted me 2 solid years of reliable results. Haven’t heard ANY news hinting of their new product being ANYTHING LIKE the old company.
SoCal is gone. Bummer

Red Sulawesi: in my rotation as it's a wonderful red for chilling out at night but I've kind of moved from reds to yellows for that so it's not used often anymore
Green Sulawesi: In my rotation and used almost everyday. Hands down my go to for pain. Nothing else touches it like this strain. Middle of the road energy but still a great mood boost. Currently sold out. REALLY hope the next batch is as good with pain (or that I find another strain that is before my stash runs out.)
Red Bali: Got a big bag because their Balis sell out so fast and didn't want to risk trying a sample first and liking it and going back and it being gone. Of COURSE this batch is nothing special and that seems to be there consensus of their other customers as well. Currently sold out.
Red Cambodian: great strong strain. Hard to say if it's slow or fast so maybe middle of the road. All I know is that I get a potent burn from it that most reds are lacking for me.
Green Hulu: got nothing from this. Unpopular review though. I can definitely revisit it and see if that holds true.
All 3 Riaus: honestly not my thing. Maybe they're too fast for me and I need to revisit them with smaller doses. Once again, all 3 are wildly popular with other customers.
Gold Maluku: very popular and I like it too. Just enough mood boost and energy to bump me through the last couple hours of my workday.
Gold MD: OH MY GOD I'VE NEVER GOTTEN A BODY BUZZ LIKE THIS and the feeling is soooo chill. This is not a popular stain for them and I can't get enough. Much mellower gold. I'm going to try it again tomorrow to make sure it's not a fluke and then order the big bag.
These are all the ones I've tried that stand out to me. I have quite a few more and can come back with more reviews later.

Thanks for reminding me, Heather - I got my bag of samples out and saw that I'd written "good feels" on the Red Cambodian bag! I thought everything except Green Horn was a dud, but I had completely forgotten about this guy.
