So, couldn't sleep Sunday night and was up way past my bedtime. Ran across some good reviews for these guys and placed an order. Did not expect to hear anything from them till Monday, but to my surprise I got an immediate response back. Ben answered all my questions and had me packed up (with tracking number) and ready to go for Monday's mail. Package should be landing tomorrow.
The info on their site is very helpful and informative...They don't have a zillion different fancy strains, just a few and the 3 vein colors of each main strain. Each strain has a BATCH # assigned to it so you can order more of the SAME thing if you like something. I like what they are trying to do, no frills, and concentrate on just a few strains. 2 types of Maeng Da's and 2 types of Elephant leaf. (then just red/green/white options on those).
Was hoping someone that has sampled their leaf recently could chime in with their opinion on quality. I got a very "warm fuzzy" feel so far with my experience, and have high hopes for this Vendor.
Hey Whiff, I guess I am not really reviewing a strain yet, so feel free to move this if need be.

It's a vendor review of sorts, you're good.

I wish all vendors would do this. BB does it with a few strains, but not all.

Nope, like Hippie said you're good. It's "Vendor and Strain Reviews" here -- you just reviewed a vendor, right? This is exactly the right place.

I just got an order of some the batch 30 leaf last week:
White Piaman, White MDJK, Red Elephant and Modern Green.
Both Whites are great, but I like the Piaman a little better. The Red Elephant was pretty good mixed with some other vendor’s reds (haven’t tried it on its own yet). The Modern Green was a little strange-
Not unpleasant, just not like typical green Kratom. I guess you could say it had very good “focus”.

So I learned the 'Piamans' are flash dried to retain alks! I have a sample of Red Piaman coming and I am super excited!
Typically this vendor actually has his leaf sorted by vein color.. which you can imagine is prob not super accurate in most cases unless its being monitored or something.. Anyways, Great Vendor!

I liked the Piaman's best as well (particularly the red). It is a new "strain" for them...They didn't get much this batch...I went back to get more and it was sold out already. They have more coming I think, but are caught up in the shipping issues like everyone else.

Cool info, thanks Jessdkmon!
Hey Labdog, maybe "flash drying" would be another experiment to try? No idea what it means, except a guess that they're probably using heat, maybe even regular dehydrator tech. A couple hours in a low oven would do the job if that's the case.
It'll be a couple weeks before I'm in a place where I could try it, but just in case I forget or don't catch you this time I'm mentioning it to you. Maybe between us one of us will remember.

FLASH DRYING...well for me it's putting leaves in a cardboard box and placing it on top of my freezer...FLASH, they are dry (around 30 hours maybe)...and honestly, they dry darker doing it that way, then drying them over 3-4 days in a cool dark place...those keep their nice green color best of all...Still wondering about giving some a little SUN exposure...supposedly increases 7OHM right?...I see descriptions..."dried inside in the dark with A/C then just 2 hours of direct sun"?...Hard to find time for all these experiments, haha...
