Please get yourself a bag of this strain. It’s one of the best teas i’ve ever had.

Lucky's is incredibly transparent about their strains, all of which are blends of a base Green, base White, and base Fermented Red. Their current Green Hulu is a blend of 90% 5/23 Green and 10% 4/23 Fermented Red. So if you have a bag of their Green Maeng Da and Royal Bentley laying around, you can make your own version of their Green Hulu.

For better or for worse, they are true small batch, so the farmers from which they get their base strains changes over time. I will get into my Lucky's stash and give it a try, but while my Royal Bentley is fantastic, my Green Maeng Da is from winter, and is a little on the slow and less potent side.

My favorite blend from them was their High Octane which I now discover is 60% White and 40% Green, and Red Krakatoa which is 75% Green, 15% White, and 10% Fermented Red. Most of my favorite proprietary blends are on the same order as Lucky's current High Octane

Edit: Literally right after I posted this I got an email from Lucky's which contains this very encouraging information. I was one of those customers who provided the "mixed feedback." it is fantastic news that Lucky's is back to using their old A supplier. I didn't know until today.

[OUR ORIGINAL SUPPLIER IS BACK!

We have received mixed feedback on the additional suppliers we started using in November 2022. The majority of our Lucky family prefers our original supplier we used almost exclusively from October 2018 through November 2022. This is noted as our "A Supplier" on our website. The first batch of the year to feature them is the current restock, Lot 051123. We have a new upcoming batch being tested at the lab now, and it will be available soon./i]

Thanks for the tip. I just ordered a bag of the Green Hulu to see what's up. That A Supplier turned out some incredible leaf back in the day when Lucky's was a MeWe private vendor, but their material from this winter put me off, and I bought about 1 1/2 kilos. I would really like to be a regular Lucky's customer again.

I ordered from them and didn't like anything i got i dont remember how long ago it was. I wonder if it was their "b" supplier

I think they're out of the 051123 Green Hulu, replaced by the 062323 batch.

According to the website they're also closed - as of today - for about a week due to a "private family situation" (but it says everybody's OK).

I found this strain to be extremely "Meh" at 2.5 and 3 grams as in "It didn't make me feel better, but it didn't make me feel worse." For my body chemistry Lucky H is too subtle, bordering on the imperceptible.

Im actually glad to hear this. I almost felt blasphemous when i have said that lucky didn't hit for me. Im glad there's others in my boat.
Im trying the 062323 green md right now. Its been almost an hour on an empty stomach and nothing yet but im not giving up. im gonna try eating a lil peanut butter in a bit and see if it hits

The Green Hulu that was reviewed here and which I have is a blend of the 5/23 Green Maeng Da from the same A supplier and the C supplier Fermented Red.
