I tried some tonight and while it was okay it wasn't great.

Edit: It's a bit slower than mid-spectrum for me, more like a slower, euphoric green. Pretty good stuff! I'll be glad to have it in rotation.

Edit2: It does have some mood boost too, I didn't realize what a good mood I was in until I had to address a modmail on the subreddit just now.

The more I experiment with combos the more convinced I am of their potential.

But make sure you do the "delay" - take your dose (the larger one) and then wait 30 minutes and do the second one. For me it's 2 grams and then 1 gram. That delay seems to be a key into making it into an afterburner or turbo effect (and something that, while others like LoveandPeace knew, I stumbled on by accident).

It certainly can't hurt to try.

With your two doses, are each one premixed or are you taking one strain and then another different one 30 mins past?

I take capsules so I just grab four of the first strain and then 30 minutes later I grab another two of something else. For the second I don't really even plan it - the first one I take out of my rotation (18 bottles in a spice rack in the kitchen) that I refresh as needed from another 70 bottles in my computer room. For the second I have around 10-12 very small bottles of sample stuff and I just pick something at random.

I did that this evening - took 2 grams (4 capsules) of TFH Top Shelf Bali and then grabbed 1 gram (two capsules) of something green I had (I didn't even look to see what it was - the pills were green so I know it was a green as that's how I color code all my capsules, but I didn't look at the label). Man - am I floating right now! <bg>.

Have you always taken capsules? Find them more effective some way? Or just not interested in T&W or Aeropress? Just curious, let me know if I'm becoming too intrusive. After this I'll ask any more questions directly so we don't hijacks this thread.

No, that's okay - some people around here most likely feel I post too much but the one thing for sure is that WHEN I post I write too much <g>.

I started off with kratom like most folks - tried the powder in various liquids, then tried oblates, then tried other substances... Tried T&W and Aeropress (sent it back). Some of those methods worked (well, only two - vodka worked but I kind of wanted to stop drinking as much and with kratom I was able to completely. Peanut butter worked but too much trouble and I wasn't always hungry :>). I even tried making my own extracts but WAY too much work and something IS missing when you go that route. Someone mentioned capsules to me and I've never gone back.

The only time I thought capsules were a drag was when I ended up taking 12-14 of them at a time. But LoveandPeace here on the forum (whom I will never stop thanking) convinced me that less truly is more and he was absolutely right. So now I don't take more than 3 grams a dose. Ever. And it IS much better. Combined with that "staging" effect it's perfect and easy.

There are really only two things about capsules you need to get used to - first is that they have a definite delayed effect. So - 55 to 75 minutes later they kick in. The second thing is you really need to have an empty stomach. You can eat afterwards, to be sure, but at least three hours beforehand you must not. Now - the same MIGHT be true even of powder but I can't say for sure. Some people worry that there are things in the powder that will hurt them (so they want to use boiling water to kill anything off) but my generation ate dirt for fun so I'm not particularly worried about it. Oh, and I also take my capsules with something with a high PH - not lemon juice but Propel for me (which has that as it's main ingredient aside from water).

It's a long story but the short form is that I went to tinctures in an effort to stop taking 12-14 pills and found out the effects weren't so great. Then I found I only needed to take, at most, 5 or 6 pills (Less is indeed more). So capsules is where I'm at.

How do you like the WG extracts? I bought some of the orange 36% (something like that) but its just collecting dust. I have so much good regular kratom that I'm enjoying right now that I'm afraid that one dose of that stuff will zap any quality burns I'm getting right now

I love it, I'm sure it's what you have the 38%. I just ordered another gram because I heard if you order a larger amount you get an envelope instead of the little jar and spoon but want to get more. I decided to also try the 40% and 44% and should've gotten some honey stix while I was at it, they seem so cheap until you multiply.
EDIT: just got it today and even though I ordered only 1 gram they didn't give me the jar and spoon. They told me they're going to add it as an option.

Do you know what that included spoon weighs in at? I couldn't find anything on their site. Assuming 1-2 MG? Do you take this straight or with certain strains? Having never taken extracts ever over my 6 year tenure, I'm very curious how people utilize this whom don't solely buy extracts.
