Smiley Time New "Moon" Strains and Wild Red Borneo

Post by WeAllFloatHere7 »

Gotta give a quick shout to the homie SmileyTimeHerbals (STH)! Finally got enough money put together to try something new, and my lady wanted some new Smiley batches, so naturally, I had to try the new Moon strains!

Green Moon-

Speed-Mid/Fast. Not the fastest green i've ever had, but still has a nice kick. I prefer it blended with the blood moon which I will get to....

Pain-7.5/10. Solid, but nothing mind blowing here. Again, blended is where it shines here, but it gets the job done like I would expect from Smiley.

Mood-8.5/10. This is where it shines through. It is not the heavy type of feeling I usually enjoy, but it is all smiles. Kind of reminds me of how I feel about golds. To me, its missing that body feeling (blending with a red takes care of that) but it just makes me so happy, almost laughy for lack of a better term. Its super uplifting and just makes you feel like a better version of yourself. Not much more I can say here, if you take kratom for a mood lift/help with depression, this is a must.

Anxiety Relief-8/10. Another winner here, which surprised me given it has a little speed to it. This seems to be a much more "heady" leaf than anything, which to me is the ultimate base for a blend. Even on its own though, it took care of my anxiety without a worry. Top notch.

Legs-7.5/10. I got a clean 2 hours from start to finish on this, which is about on par with other top shelf leaf for me. Not quite long enough to break through to an 8 for me (my gold standard I judge all top shelf leaf on), but it still was more than satisfactory.

Overall-8.25/10. Another winner from Smiley. A great moodlift, takes care of anxiety, and blends well. This is the type of leaf I look for personally, and it will be making its way heavily into my rotation. I've only had it a few days and I've used it 4 times already... That should say everything given my current stash. If you take kratom for pain relief or relaxation, I wouldn't do it, but if you want a super uplifting experience that is anxiety free? This is the one.

Blood Moon (Red)-

Speed-Slow. Nice and heavy, the best way to have a red to me. It should be noted this is NOT fermented and is bright green in color)

Pain-8.5/10. Knocked out most of my pain. I would say its is just above average in terms of top shelf leaf. Really satisfied here.

Mood-7.5/10. Satisfactory here, but not over the top. This is where blending with the green comes in for me and makes one hell of a ride (I might have to give the blend a 9...2:1 green to red). This kept me in a good mood, which is really all one could ask for. It just wasn't quite strong enough to break through my barrier of an 8. However, it blends well and I've used it with 2 different greens now, both of which brought this category exactly where I wanted it.

Anxiety Relief-8/10. Right at the benchmark for me. Knocked out pretty much all anxiety (I am an extremely anxious person, so this is very important to me). Very satisfied here. Again, blend it up with the green and you're in an even better spot.

Legs-8/10. This one was just over 2.5 hours for me on its own, breaking through my average of 2 hours, enough to give it the 8. Very impressed as recently I've had issues with reds lasting me long enough to get me to bed. This one pulled through!

Overall-8/10. A solid red that deserves a spot in your rotation for something to unwind at night. I would have given it a higher rating, but the moodlift fell just short for me. It is still one of his better reds in my opinion, and that says a lot given that his red balis and OG red keta are some of my all time favorites. Very impressed with these new releases. I just have to say, get both and blend them. It really creates the best of both worlds and puts you into a state of calm bliss without sedating you. The perfect afternoon blend for when you're annoyed with work.

Wild Red Borneo-

Speed-Slow. Not the slowest red I've ever had, but definitely relaxing. I would say relaxing with just a dash of sedation. Its not a "lights out" type of batch, but definitely a couch potato kind of burn.

Pain-8/10. I went to the gym before this burn and my shoulder was acting up. 1 hour into the burn I felt my pain slowly drift away to almost nothing. Great pain relief!

Mood-8/10. Another solid category for this one! Today has been sort of a rough mental day for me, so this was a welcome effect. It has kept me level headed and relaxed, and I have actually had some great conversation while on this one. It just seems to make me more open and social. I have noticed this both times I've used it. 8 is my benchmark for something to stay in my rotation, this one delivered but isn't quite as uplifting as some of his other reds (Red Bali, Red Bali 2, OG Red Keta are my tops from him). Still holds its own though, and I feel it is deserving of an 8.

Anxiety Relief-8.5/10. This is where this truly shines. Like I mentioned above, its been a tough day mentally for me, and this has calmed me down and taken away a lot of the anxious thoughts that have been racing through my head. Almost a sense of clarity that I had been missing before burning it. Just what I was looking for!

Legs-7/10. Reds typically last a little longer for me, this one did not the first time I took it. I am writing this during the second session with it (I took it just over 1.5 hours ago) so this rating could be updated after this burn subsides depending on how long it lasts. However, the first burn with it only lasted around 1.75 hours for me which is okay, but not stellar. With my tolerance I am used to around 2 hours as the norm, with anything over that being top notch. We'll see what happens tonight, but based on my first burn, this rating seems fair.

Overall-8/10. Another solid red batch from Smiley! To me, Smiley has always shined with his reds and this is no exception. I had a bag previously of this around 6 months ago, and I ended up giving it away to a friend. It was a dud for me. I had tried this one a few years ago and loved it, so I figured I would give it one more chance, and I am very glad that I did! Both toss and wash as well as mixed in warm water/lemon juice/coconut oil has been successful. Sometimes I notice different MOA's for different batches seem to work better, but this one worked both ways that I typically prepare my leaf so that was nice to see! This one is a slow red, heavy on the body (my favorite effect, why I typically go for reds and slow greens), great pain relief, and kills anxiety extremely well. I'm hoping that tonights burn lasts longer than the first, but for now the only downside I see to this batch is the legs. However, with my tolerance, that could just be me and YMMV. This one comes highly recommended from someone who is VERY picky with reds. Smiley nailed it with the current batches and given this isn't dry season, I am very impressed that it is holding its own against my stockpile from Summer time. Give this one a shot if you like them slow and heavy. This is not a daytime red, but rather a nice late afternoon/night time chill.

Smiley did it again for me. There is a reason that my girl consistently wants to order from him. Almost every time its a hit. I have had a few misses with him, but they're few and far between. I can order with confidence that I will be getting atleast something that will blow me away, this order was no exception. This blend of the two Moon strains is monstrous in terms of mood and anxiety.
