Fused Flora Multi Strain Review
Alright guys, I have spent enough time with some of Shaun's new leaf, and I have 3 reviews prepared for today. I have tried each twice, once as the first burn of the day, and another time as the second burn. All were taken at 4.5g mixed into hot water (microwaved for 50 seconds on an 1100w microwave) with 1tsp of coconut oil. I have others I'm still working with, but I feel I have a good handle on what these ones are like. I should preface that these were sent for free with my recent order, but these are my honest opinions on what I received. I just want to be as transparent about this as possible.
Without furtha ado, lets get into some reviews!
Green Takengon
Pain-8/10. Knocked out my shoulder and hip pain very well. No complaints here. Usually greens fall in the 7-8 range for me so this is on the upper level of pain relief for quality leaf for me.
Speed-Midspec. Slight energy kick at the beginning which faded into relaxation after about an hour. I love my greens like this for work specifically. I wouldn't use it to chill around the house. This is best used when you have a little bit of work to do, but not exactly "stimulating"
Moodlift-7.5/10. It was a good elevation in mood. Slightly heavy on the body (I weigh this into my mood lift category as it is my favorite feeling of quality kratom). Solid in this department. This one was more "heady" than "heavy" which is great for a work setting.
Legs-8/10. In order to get an 8 from me, it needs to last 2 hours from the initial come up. This one hit that mark. Right at about 2 hours it slowly faded away, and was very smooth on the way down. No crash. My tolerance sucks, so it will likely last longer for you.
Anxiety Relief-7.5/10. Kept me calm and collected without the sedation of a red. It seemed to help much more with social anxiety than physical anxiety for me. I get bad physical anxiety symptoms and this reduced them, but the social aspect is where it shined. I was able to talk with customers at work with ease which is exactly what I need.
Overall-7.5-8/10. 8 is my gold standard, and it was right around that mark. It didn't seem to excel in anything specific, but it was a very balanced experience. It offered me a little bit of everything you would expect from quality kratom. In my initial thoughts notes, I put down that it almost feels like a pink blend (red/white). If you don't know what type of leaf you are in the mood for, this would be a go to as it gives you a little bit of everything. I quite enjoyed my experience.
White Borneo-
Pain-7.5/10. Took care of my pain. No complaints as whites typically don't offer as much relief to me as other colors, but this was solid.
Speed-Mid. This was slower than a normal white for me, which I appreciate. I am not big on whites personally, and this one felt more like a slightly faster green. Not overwhelming stimulation, but I was definitely more "alert" if that makes sense. Very smooth.
Moodlift-8/10. This one felt great. It had me smiling for its entire duration, and work situations didn't seem to bother me as much as usual. Great for if you're having a rough morning and need to wake up just a bit and need something to help keep your spirits up. It was light on the body, but whites typically are for me. Overall it was the the moodlift of a mid/fast green to me, which I really enjoyed.
Legs-6.5/10. This was the only place it fell for me. It lasted around 1.5 hours and had a rather steep comedown. I think blending with a red would smooth this out. I think the potency of the moodlift outweighs this negative for me though, as the effects of the peak are very ideal for me. Again, my tolerance may be a factor in this. YMMV.
Anxiety Relief-8/10. This is where it surprised me. I typically get a lot of anxiety from whites but this one was smooth. It was similar to the green takengon in that it was a very social feeling. It made me want to just talk with people and get to know them, which is great for me working in a retail setting. Excellent work strain for short bursts of work. I would use this before a meeting or someting similar where you just need heavy relief for a shorter period of time.
Overall-7.5/10. This was an awesome experience but I had to dock it a bit for the lack of legs. Again, this could be a me problem so its worth a shot for anyone to try. Very smooth and uplifting until the comedown (blend it with a red to help this). It was a pleasant surprise as I normally avoid whites.
White Kapuas-
Pain-7.5/10. Similar to the Borneo for me. No complaints!
Speed-Fast. This is one of the only times I've gotten a "smooth energy" from kratom. Almost felt like a caffeine/theanine combo.
Moodlift-8.5. This. Stuff. Rocks. It was energizing but heavy on my body and overall felt amazing. I was in a great mood with it (I was struggling the morning I took it the first time so this REALLY helped). If you want a more energetic strain with the moodlift of a powerful green, this is the one. It made me want to be a better version of myself.
Legs-9/10. I NEVER give this score. Normally after a few hours I come down and then interdose withdrawal sets in about 4-5 hours after dosing. I went over 6 hours without more leaf and never fell into any withdrawal symptoms. Peak effects were a little over 2 hours and then the come down was very gradual and smooth. I was shocked at how great I felt even after the peak was gone. I am beyond impressed with this.
Anxiety Relief-7/10. This is a weird one for me. I take kratom for anxiety during the day mostly (pain second), and initially this one spiked my anxiety for around 20 minutes and then it smoothed out to where nothing seemed to bother me. The anxiety spike was not bad, but noticeable both times I took this. I got a little shaky and hot, and then it calmed down into a clean energy. To me, the initial mild spike was WELL WORTH the relief that followed. The relief after the spike is an easy 8, but I can't give it quite that high of a rating due to the initial spike. I think this is a me problem and those that love fast whites will likely not have this problem.
Overall-8.5/10. This is a standout batch for sure. It is rare for me to give a glowing review for a white, but this one put in the work and earned it. The moodlift and legs are beyond impressive. If you like the uplifting effects of a traditional white, this is a MUST TRY.
I have more coming for the Yellow Kapuas, Green Kapuas, Green Borneo, Super Green Borneo, and Green Kapuas, but I have not had enough time to analyze these yet. I will update this thread once I have ran through each a couple of times.
Overall, Shaun wins most improved vendor from me. I was originally sent some leaf last year that was okay, and then again in the winter which were much better and enough to make me buy a few bags, but this current round of varieties really prove Shaun is in the game for one of the top vendors. I have been very impressed with his knowledge and customer service. He is continuously generous to the community in offering samples and his prices fall very competitive with other comparable vendors. He has earned a place in my vendor rotation, and is working his way to being one of my favorite vendors. Each time I get leaf from him I'm finding more and more that hit me right. I have a lot of respect for vendors that continuously try to improve their quality, and Shaun is getting better and better with each batch I try! He definitely deserves the love he gets around here, and I think he has something to offer to everyone here.

Re: Fused Flora Multi Strain Review
Update:
I have now had a couple burns with the Yellow Kapuas. For the record, I have only had 1 true yellow ever REALLY impress me so this one is a hard test. (I have another yellow I'm going to review that has been getting hype, so I need these vendors to make me a believer!) Lets get into it.
Yellow Kapuas-
Pain-7.5/10. It does the job, but didn't blow me away. Still had a few aches in my arthritic shoulder/hip that made their way through, but overall still above average (especially for a yellow)
Speed-Mid. This was maybe just a touch of stimulation, but it was pretty mid for me. I was definitely more alert, but much more relaxed as well. Not sure if this is a true yellow or if its a pink blend. This could very easily be a pink blend.
Moodlift-8.5. WOW. Yellows normally lack in this department for me (which is why I typically avoid them). I was talking with my girlfriend the night before I took it asking what I should test in the morning and I was like "Do I take a chance on the yellow?" and she was very skeptical as she is also a yellow hater. I was prepared to not feel anything and have to give a more negative review due to this category. It blew away my expectations and may actually be my favorite "feeling" of the lot so far. It gave me the warm blanket feeling on my body while still keeping me alert. I was doing some computer work and it kept me going but it felt like I was very heavy in my chair. The absolute perfect strain if you're one of the people currently working from home, or for even sitting here cruising double m. To me its the warm feeling of a good red, but without the sedation and maybe even a touch of stimulation. I can't stress enough how uplifting this is.
Legs-7/10. I wish the feeling lasted a little bit longer. It was about 1.5 hours of peak before a slow come down for me which is *slightly* below what I have come to expect from leaf of this caliber. However, I'm willing to take that trade off for the potency. I'm sure a booster dose would solve this problem but I have not personally found a protocol for boost dosing that works for me yet so I can only speak to the initial burn.
Anxiety Relief-8.5/10. Another hit for me. Moodlift and anxiety relief are the big 2 categories that I judge leaf on, as these are the reasons that I use kratom. This annihilated any anxiety that I had and kept me calm. I have been having a lot of issues with anxiety since growing up and moving out of my parents place and starting my adult life a few years ago, and kratom is one of the few things I know I can turn to for relief. Lately kratom has helped, but not the way it used to. This one is the exception. It was almost like the honeymoon phase again.
Overall-8.5/10. I want to give this a 9 so badly but I just can't due to the slightly shorter legs. As I've mentioned, this could just be my tolerance so YMMV. However with saying that, if this leaf can provide this level of effects to someone who struggles with their tolerance as much as I do, it is POTENT. Both burns with this were consistent in its effects. I would buy this without hesitation. My second burn with it I waited until it started to kick in and picked up my guitar and was just in my own little world writing music and it was extremely therapeutic. This is a standout of recent batches I have tried. On your next Fused order, this is a must have.

talk about thorough! im sure someone will really appreciate this take on many of Fused Flora's offerings. Do you know the batch number of your yellow kapuas? is it the 0520 batch (last 4 digits before letter). I feel similarly about every yellow I have tried from Shaun. His yellows and Mitra's yellow md got me ordering yellows on a bunch of other orders and none truly compare lol whoops

Thanks! I try to really capture the essence of what the leaf has to offer to help others find what works best for them! I have had so many batches where someone said it was great and I bought it and it hit, but didn't do what I was looking for. I want to make sure others get the full idea of what that batch is about before spending their money on something someone else said was "fire".the_spookiest wrote:talk about thorough! im sure someone will really appreciate this take on many of Fused Flora's offerings. It is that batch, yes! I absolutely loved it. Ironically, the yellow MD from Mitraman is the other one I was going to review lol. I have taken it once so far an enjoyed it, but have to give it another run before making a judgement for the review. 2/2 on recent yellows for me though...its strange but I love it!

Appreciate you taking time for feedback. I always love reading yours, usually leads me to retrying a strain or two to try to pick out the subtleties you've found. Alas, glad you enjoyed and had some relief.
