Mitraman Botanicals Review

Post by WeAllFloatHere7 »

Got some new leaf in from Mitraman! Here is a review for each of the new ones I picked up!

Red Horn-

Pain-8.5/10. Knocks pain out hard. If you deal with arthritis aches like me, this is an excellent choice!

Speed-SLOW. Night time only. This particular batch is slower than the last batch I got from him.

Moodlift-8/10. This one feels very nice. A classic warming red that just makes you feel good inside and out. It kept my mood stable and felt great for the entire duration of the burn.

Anxiety Relief-8.5/10. This is a big category for me, and this knocks it out of the park. This particular batch is a little better than the last one in this regard. My fiance tests new leaf with me (this was actually her bag that I've been pulling from...) and she agrees completely. She has been stuck on Smileys red bali for around 6 months and has been looking for another nighttime red to rotate, and this one made the cut (not an easy thing to do for her). We had a little hiccup with our hotel room on a recent vacation that sent me into an anxious mess (lets just say, I REALLY hate bugs in my room...) and this calmed me down without issue and helped me get some sleep. Everything I could ask for.

Legs-8/10. Solid legs on this. Got about 2 good hours before the effects started to slowly dwindle each time I took it. 2 hours is my benchmark. I can't complain here.

Overall-8.25/10. This is an excellent batch. You can tell it is fresh dry season leaf, as it is more potent than the last one I had (I buy this strain almost every batch he releases. Its been a hit for me every time). It will make a perfect addition to almost anyone's night time rotation. It is the true definition of a classic red.

Yellow MD-

Pain-7.5/10. This one helped, and hit my mark for being good leaf, but didn't blow me away in this category. It is quite helpful for minor aches, but if it is a bad pain kind of day, I would probably opt for something else (like the red horn).

Speed-Mid/slow. This one is pretty midspec with just a slight lean to the slow side for me. I've seen some people say it leans on the faster side though, YMMV.

Moodlift-8.5/10. This one is definitely a mood based strain. It doesn't have the warmth that I would expect from a slower strain, but it is all smiles. I like to use this in the afternoon if I'm having a rough day. Its not quite fast enough for the morning, and not quite slow enough for the night time. Afternoon is the best for me. It took me a few burns to figure this one out. I'm used to the moodlift coming with a lot of warmth and heaviness on the body, but this one just kept my spirits up and made work much easier mentally to deal with. Much more "heady" than "heavy". Very unique to me. Its one of those that I can tell I haven't had before, if that makes sense. I quite enjoy it for what it is.

Anxiety Relief-7.5/10. I had a bit of anxiety that slipped through (which is odd given the moodlift) but that could just be circumstantial as I have been under an abnormal amount of stress as of lately (took a financial hit due to the whole covid thing). I think if I were in my normal state, this would absolutely suffice.

Legs-7.5/10. Good legs, but dwindled after about an hour 45 for me. No crash or bad comedown, very smooth with a bit of an afterglow. I could feel my anxiety starting to come back at the hour 45 mark, but the smiles held on for a little over 2 hours before slowly fading away into hour 3.

Overall-7.75/10. This one has a lot of hype behind it, and for good reason. Its a great batch. Full disclosure, I very rarely like yellows. I picked this up based on Mitramans recommendation (he never steers me wrong) and I am glad I did. Its a very unique experience and I think that anyone using kratom for help with depression/mood would benefit greatly from this. Its one that is very situational for me, but when the situation arises, I will be very happy I have this on hand. I have noticed that Mitramans leaf seems to be consistently strong in the moodlift department (which is why I like it). This strain is no exception. If you are looking for something for your mood that offers a unique experience, this is a fantastic option.

Green Batak-

Pain-8/10. Great for a green (greens typically fall in the 7-7.5 range for me, but this one offered a little extra).

Speed-Mid/slow. This one err's on the slower side, but still pretty middle of the road. More of a relaxation than sedation for me.

Moodlift-9/10. I VERY RARELY give a 9/10. This one earns it. 8 is my gold standard rating for top notch leaf, 9 is above and beyond most. I was blown away by this. I have had many greens from Mitraman and many others, and this is a true standout. Not only is it the all smiles of the Yellow MD, it offers the warmth and heaviness of the Red Horn. Its like a perfect balance of moodlift and heaviness. I prefer my leaf on the heavier side, and this one hit the mark perfectly.

Anxiety Relief-8.5/10. For me, warmer more heavy strains typically help with anxiety the most, and this is no exception. I feel great on it. It is one of those strains that makes you feel like a better version of yourself. I work retail and have to deal with people all day long, so this is ideal for my situation.

Legs-8.5/10. I got well over 2 hours out of this on every try (I think I've had it like 7 or 8 times now. I have been struggling with rotating because I keep coming back to this one). If I get over 2.5 hours of peak effects, it is almost a miracle. This one shines.

Overall-9/10. I have to give my coveted 9 rating to this one. Its powerful, heavy, and uplifting in all of the right ways. Very rarely does a strain really speak to me enough to give it a 9, but I have no second thoughts about it. This is one of the top greens that I have had from this dry season. Mitraman nailed it with this, and I hope it stays consistent on the menu because I plan to always keep a bag around for when some of my other favorites aren't quite getting me right. If you have been considering an order from Mitraman, this is a MUST TRY.

Overall thoughts-Mitraman has been consistently at the top of my vendor rotation. I put him with the likes of my other favorites, and I will continue to buy from him. He is one of the more consistent vendors I have had, and it feels like each batch he brings gets better and better. His customer service is fantastic, he is very easily reachable, and he goes out of his way to make sure customers are taken care of. The Red Horn and Green Batak are must haves, and the Yellow MD offered something very different from what I am used to. I have no complaints from this order other than I didn't buy enough.

Nice - MitraMan is great. These reviews are making me want to order the Green Batak but I really don't need any more leaf. Hopefully the next batch is equally as good.

Trust me I didn't need any more leaf but this one warranted a 250 bag no question. Maybe put some up for trade or sale to fund it to justify it? lol. I'm going to be posting up a ton of stuff to get rid of to make room for more fire like this. When you find that magic batch you've gotta stock!

Haha I hear ya! Definitely done that before. Problem right now is I've loaded up on fire across the board (mostly Denette and Rhino) so don't have much I want to get rid of.

Maybe I'll go ahead and just pull the trigger regardless :ugeek:
