STH Is Crap?

I don't know what's going on with STH but I've gotten mostly crap from him all year. I've ordered 25g samples of my STH go-tos every 6 weeks or so since Jan, and have only gotten a few decent ones - White Banjo (or was it Borneo?) and White Nano back in the spring, Green Dragon from July, and White Banjo in August. Everything else has been a bust.

My most recent orders over the last several months included Green Glow, Green Nanga, W. Sandai, Silver Smile, WG Bota, White Nanga, White Nano, Green Dragon (from September), and Yellow Sunda - ALL were a bust. The Green Dragon from July was pretty good, but nothing since has hit for me.

In the past I've gotten good results from all of these strains, not every time but often enough to be in my regular rotation. It sucks that they - and STH in general - are no longer reliable for me, and I have an increasingly large stack of useless crap that I should really throw away.

I haven’t tried STH yet. If you’re honestly thinking about throwing it away you can send some my way and I’ll be more than happy to test them and give my thoughts!

It's not crap, you just posted none of Otie's hit for you either. Most likely it's a tolerance issue. Most all kratom is hit or miss but if all you get is misses when it works for others it's most likely not the kratom

Take a tolerance break. Lower your dose.

Hit the trading post my friend. Give it a good home, and someone will take it off your hands. But like the others said, take a break (either from the vendor or all together) and I think you'll be surprised. Or trick your body and radically adjust your dosing amounts and times. Catch the body off guard.

Between several months of STH having little to no effects and based on your other post where a variety of Oties sharing the same result, I would have to agree with the others who replied. This sounds like Tolerance, take a break, drop your dose. A lot of us have been where you are right now. After the honeymoon period for me, Nothing hit. Once I tapered down a bit and dropped my dose IT WAS BACK. When you hit this wall, it's your only option taking a break and finding your real sweet spot, our bodies continuously change, in my opinion so does our Sweet Spot for Leaf Dosage. Good luck!

This is 100% the truth. It messes with your mind especially if you are in pain. It makes sense to "take more" because you hurt and you want it to stop. I was stuck in this myself for a while, hating the term "less is more". I have taken my dose from 6g every 4 hrs to 3g every 4hrs and getting better results. Now I just heard about stacking so I will give this a try starting with 1.5-2g and going from there. What do you ha e to lose? Nothing because you can always take more. It will be good to see where your really at. Some leaf that didnt hit is some of the best leaf I have. I have been going back to try all the ones that didnt work and have been very surprised. I bought from sth a few times earlier this year. I got a few good ones, but also quite a few misses. it still could be tolerance related, but I've had some luck with other vendors. for me, sth was about the same as other vendors: roughly a 50% hit rate.

Sorry, but I had to step out of a coma for this one. I mean, my tolerance is high, yes? I drink reds like bottles of champagne for pain and when something doesn't hit, I know it's because of how much I slug down in a given day. I am uneasy with the declaration that any vendor 'is crap' unless their leaf is oddly colored headshoppy, bathsalt-infused slurpee-scented mystery-dust with labs from stolen QR Codes. Adulteration is something we can all agree on a singular definition, regarding, but no one can make a declarative statement about the value of a subjective interplay between self and alkaloid. Oh, broken glass in kratom is what I'd designate as crap as well, but not STH and Otie's.

Let's start with Otie's, since I have been taking the extraordinarily potent Super RMD for my pain and it has, with such a high potency, taken the edge off some of my other kratoms. This just tells me I need to rotate more, so that is what I'm doing. But Otie's being weaksauce? Huh? That is one thing I absolutely cannot say, and my tolerance is absurd. Maybe it just didn't work for you.

Have you been dipping into the extracts? Wonderland and MitraMike (who is such a nice person and I'm not dissing him/have not tried him) have many-a-product infused with many-a extract. Where I'm going with this is, you need a t-break, to change your rotation, and either sell, trade, or put away strains that aren't hitting and give it a break to try again.

Again, haven't had any Smiley recently but Otie? I have high tolerance from drinking kratom all day long and though I don't do extracts, I will say that I tried the Super RMD after trying samples of other Otie's products I found incredibly impressive, and my disabled ass thanks me daily for finding and selling my soul to Otie's, most specifically the Super RMD but guess what, their House Mix works wonders for major depression! It isn't strictly red, but a blend that makes me feel more alert and happy. That doesn't mean other strains that don't have that effect are crap, or other vendors who might help me with my insomnia or anxiety.

There are many rooms in the house of kratom, a great house with rooms we subjectively may not like. Some people don't even like our house and we have to fight to keep it from getting bulldozed! Personally, I consider Smileytime Herbals and Otie's two vendors with integrity and have earned our mutual respect. I think though, to have the best burns possible, when we strike out once, twice, three times, it's time for a bag of stem and leaves or a t-break.

Also, I need to shut up and get back to catatonia. I love you guys.

Well... I've been using STH Red Smile almost exclusively for the last year & it is the best Red strain I've ever had. I admit the first 3 times I tried it I got zero effects. Then I tried one dose of Dragon Fire 2.0, which is great BTW, and that kick-started the Red Smile for reasons I don't understand. And if I take a dose of Red Smile that doesn't work, I take a dose of Dragon Fire next & that re-ignites the Red Smile for me. That strain is the strongest & most consistent Red I've ever had, & I've used kratom since 2016. I'm on my 4th kilo of it(it's a favorite of my whole family). It's killed the pain of 2 separate instances of broken ribs & one broken tooth. If you're a long-time kratom user you should know kratom is fickle as heck & different people have different experiences with it. That's life. Sell your batches to the folks on here. But I just have to say... STH is not crap to me.

I haven't messed with STH in years because his dud rate was so high at the time. Like 2/10 success rate. Eventually I had to cut my losses. I couldn't afford to spend hundreds sifting through a giant menu every reup or gambling on recommendations anymore. To be honest though, I could say the same about most vendors I've tried, including most of the alleged small batch MeWe backback crowd.

Maybe things have changed since then. As far as customer service went, he was pretty solid. But I don't have it in me to complain too much so I just move on when I'm not finding what I'm looking for.

lol, that's so weird, but sounds about right. I'll need to remember this. Almost all STH has not hit for me.

I understand. These are the 1st strains of STH that ever worked for me. Here's my suggestion. Just buy a small amount. Take a 1g dose first thing in morning. Take 1g dose for your 2nd dose. If you dose 3 times a day, make your 3rd 1g. Next morning take a 2g dose first thing. If nothing happens in 45 minutes, take another gram.

Kratom is really frustrating stuff. Right now a bunch of folks are singing the praises of Herbal RVA Green Buntok. I ordered some. I get zero effects. But I've learned my lesson & am going to take it a bunch of times in varying amounts.
