Otie’s Botanicals Super Red Maeng Da

Otie’s current batch of Super Red Maeng Da is one of the best mid-reds I’ve tried to date. This is saying something considering mid-reds and mid/slower greens are my favorite.


Otie’s Super Red Maeng Da is a 1.91% mit unfermented red. The first time I tried it, the onset came on within 30min which is much quicker than usual for me, very strong warmth but not sedating, this is a special batch.

I left a comment in my other thread about Otie’s after my first experience with this batch. I liked it so much that I gave this one another spin tonight and it is hitting just as hard as before.

I gave my wife some to try, and it was one of her favorites as well/was very calming after a stressful day.

Otie’s is currently having a sale and I’m gonna stock up on this and some White Elephant, both are quality!

The new batches all have really high Mitra % I have found. I am an Otie's fan, and highly recommend Yellow Borneo and House Mix. You can at least ask for a sample of one or the other when placing an order, but these two strains are major standouts.

Just got my kg of this red and 250g of white elephant. Should have asked for a few samples, oh well there is always next time!

Thanks everyone! Reds don't do much for me but the Red MD definitely hit. I requested for my supplier to have 2 out of the four reds we carry to be green in color. Not everyone likes fermented leaf. Me being one of them. So naturally they're going to be higher in MIT. Typically the Red Malay is higher too. That's the other green colored Red we have. It's also in the house mix

Adam, reds never work for me so I just got the smallest pack you offered and it was so good. I mixed it with a little White Bali from TFH and it lasted all afternoon. I'm so happy I've finally found a red that works for me. I'm gonna order more of that. You are doing a great job!!

Is your current Super Red MD the same as the one I ordered in March of this year? Overall I wasn't that impressed, but if this is a new one you have I'll order again and see.

The latest batch/labs I saw are from July, tests at 1.91 mit. Batch 1090070122. Matches my bag from a couple weeks ago. So def different batch from March, and likely still the current batch. I guess theres the outside chance an August batch dropped and labs haven't been updated. Didn’t see batch # listed on the product page so cant cross reference.

The August batch of Otie's Super Red MD is without question the most enjoyable, potent Red I've had all year. I have never had any Kratom with the anxiolytic benefits of this one, for example.

I have zero idea what you mean by anxiolytic (nor do I particularly care) but I did go ahead and order this one (I'm a sucker for good reds).

I'll have to label it differently (because I do have the earlier Red MD from them).

anxiolytic means it helps with anxiety

Absolutely agreed! (with the exception of the TFH Sapphire Sunda). Stock up like a woodchuck!

Yeah man, I stocked up with 1kg each of those. Both are 10/10, high mit, great effects. Surprised they are still in stock tbh.

I just recently discovered Otis’s and their products definitely deliver! I’ll be trying the RMD for the first time tonight. I’ll post my impressions of that as well as the other strains that I’ve had as soon as I get the chance!
